Hodlers Method to Exploring NFTs for Fun and Profit! ๐Ÿ–ผ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’ฐ

As a crypto guy, I've had enough experience with Web3 and NFTs not to be totally afraid of the technology. I've played enough play to earn games and staked enough NFTs to get an idea of different things people are using NFTs for.

I've joined some discords and was even able to interact with others in the NFT community on Twitter. And I was pleased to find out that the NFT community is really cool.

All though I've had some fun as an NFT collector, I've been getting an urge to go into NFTs as an artist lately.

I've wanted to make NFTs for a while, but I feel like I was overthinking the process until this point.

similar to the way it took me forever to post to the steemit back in the day... and look at me now lol

Lately, I've realized NFTs can be used by an independent solo artist in so many ways. It's all dependent on the strategy and creativity of the artist.

I personally want to use NFTs to do some simple branding. As a content creator, the promotional aspect of NFTs really stood out to me when looking at the categories on Atomic Hub.

Theres so many ways that NFTs can be leveraged to help get the word out about your brand and the people who support you. A lot of opportunity in this space even for smaller crators like myself.

I think NFTs will be great for personalized gifts and giveaways. plenty of opportunity to do giveaways on twitter to help get pieces of my brand into different hands. NFT's can also be really cool way to promote different events I may want to do in the future.

I'm also big on data ownership and web3 and how empowering that technology can be. The fact that I can create a piece of data for the brand and share it with supporters cool af to me. I get a fair share of the profit made by the data I created, and the person who supports me gets to OWN a piece of my brand and do with it what they choose. HODL, flip, or burn!

I honestly feel like this method of creating little pieces of art for my brand and supporters is the way to go. I feel like my first NFT projects will be like a "Donate here", but get some cool stuff in return type of deal.

Depending on the popularity of the brand, I might be able to use this as Patreon replacement thing and drop. Exclusive content and exclusive chats in the discord for my NFT holders!

But only time will tell...

I just plan to use what I've learned as a content creator to this point and build it as I go. I'll of course use some of the things others us in my strategy but learning from my mistakes and building on my successes will play a big part in my journey as an NFT artists starting out.

If I can keep the process from being to time consuming or expensive, this might be something I cant stick with long-term like my blogging...

But are you working on any NFT projects?

Have you sold any of your art as a NFT?

let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear about your experience!!!

Good post dude! You know, when NFTs were getting hot in the public, I kind of thought the same thing and still do. I would love to design and create my own NFTs to sell as an artist and possibly even get a following from it. However, I don't really think I'm talented enough especially given I have no formal training... and its just typography.

Nonetheless, I think go for it! Why not? The worst thing that can possibly happen is you waste some time on something you seem passionate about and learn from that experience and the mistakes made. I've always believed that you must see both sides of a situation before making judgement calls on it, and this seems like a perfect time to join the other side of NFTs. See if its your thing or not.

Yeah I plan on just having fun with it and building it as I go. Starting out itโ€™s probably gonna be a learning experience just like it is here on hive.

I actually got my first collection made on wax since writing this article, which was an interesting process. I canโ€™t wait build the project out though. Wether I get a ton of engagement or not, I plan on having fun with the art.

But now is a good time for sure. And as looked around on Neftyblocks I found a lot of indie artists that werenโ€™t the best but still were able to sale art and gain support from the community
