Hive really is the blockchain for applications. While there's plenty of other blockchains none of them are really built to produce socials web 3 applications, gaming and so forth while hive is actully primed for ALL of these things.

That's because of the unique way in which hive is "mined" or "earned" compared to other blockchains. Called the Proof of Brain concept it's something that greatly gets overlooked by many others however that might very well change here soon.

That's because hive is showing what it's capable of and it's all thanks to a number of outside developers and projects. Let's take a quick overview of the niches that hive has a very real chance of being a powerhouse in.

The Gaming Niche

With no fee transactions and the ability to run layer two tokens thanks to hive-engine we have see a number of games launch on the hive blockchain. This is only going to continue to advance and grow as hive really is a great alternative to the likes of WAX blockchain who seem to be solely focused on gaming only. They also make a ton in market revenue and the entire system makes sense and relates directly with hive in terms of powering up was to be able to hold NFTs and use their blockchain is just like powering up hive. However there's so much MORE you can do with that hive that's powered up.

Gaming is one of the areas I see massive potential for hive. It just needs a little more love in terms of a NFT marketplace for ALL games on the hive blockchain and a little more promotion and marketing work on that front outside of the hive ecosystem. Game developers can help with that by allowing more than one blockchain to use their game as well such as a blend of wax/hive.

Social

In a way Hive was born out of social. You might not think that blogging and writing comments on others blog posts as social but this was the FIRST way to really connect and talk to other people in the old days of the internet. It's grass roots and it's roots that stuck around. While so many places continue to try and advance outside of it articles are still one of the largest sources of information and engagement online.

Social only advanced from there into things like MySpace, Facebook, Twitter but they all are mainly supports for the core which are articles. The only other large consumption of information is video which would be your youtube.

Hive covers a large portion of this already however the current applications need some seriously love and then serious promotion after.
