Three Tune Tuesday. A Mix
I am gonna delve back into my discover weekly playlist today as I had quite a good one last week and Gordon the AI bot seems to have got it right last week with giving me tunes from relatively unknown artists to listen to. I was at a gig in Dublin on Saturday in a place called St Annes Park Raheeny. Noel Galagher was playing and he was supported by Two Door Cinema Club who were very good actually. But we got lashed out of it by the rain and it took us 3 hours to get back to the hotel. No buses were put on after the gig so it was a nightmare getting out of there. But anyway it was a good gig and I am well receovered from it by now.
So the first band I want to do this week actually appeared in my life when my South African friend was going to a gig a few years back. She could not wait. Her and her cockney husband loved this band that I never heard of. I laughed at their name thinking they were a kind of a joke act. They kind fo are she said. So I was intrigued. Then I was sitting in the GYM the other night and a really upbeat tune came on and the name of the song was funny. But who was it from only the band that my South African friend loved.
Half Man Half Biscuit - Joy Division Oven Gloves
Now who knows what this song is about. Oven gloves apparently but the next time these boys are in town, I am bloody going to them. Half man half biscuit everybody!!

The second song is actually another bank advert by a bank in Ireland called AIB. I had a song from Delorentos a couple of weeks back from the same bank advert. Whoever is in charge of their marketing has the same taste in music than yours truly. This song is a lovely little cover by The Daydream Club who are a band that do exactly like they do on their tin. Creat beautiful mellow music whether it is their own or a cover.

When I was in my 20's I was massively into music and I thought I heard everything. So when a song comes up from 2007 that you love but never really heard before, you realise you listened to only the tip of the iceberg. This song I love but never heard before until the other week.
Sometimes im half man and half biscuit, and 1% duck. Good jams though Blizzanch. I can tell these styles are your go to, nuthin wrong with that.

What a disaster, tough auld place to get out of especially in the pissings of rain... Pity you werent staying in Clontarf Castle, it would have been handy enough... Two Door Cinema Club very under rated, really like some of their stuff..
Half Man Half Biscuit sound bonkers man, which I generally love and no exception here, I'll have to head off and listen to a few more tunes from them to see what the rest of their stuff is like..
