Hey guys, so just asking for someone, if it is this cold like now...how does winter then feel like? How do you all do it lol, cause I'm seeing a newness of cold my goodness lol. Well, I'm still up for it though, so we'll see how well I survive.

💮💮💮

Back to the actual topic is the Royal Armories Museum in the city of Leeds, which I visited few days ago. The last time I went to a museum was like years ago, when I was so much younger. Infact, it was an excursion organized by the primary school then, and I remember it to be a very interesting experience for us kids.

The National Museum of Arms and weapons as its name implies, houses different collections of weapons and armour, weapons that I had seen in movies was just sitting pretty in this place, I mean it was so amazing to see them physically, know more about them, and just be mesmerized by them lol. As a student of History, visiting this place was such a eye opener, things I read came to life, strategies of war being displayed made a course I took back in the university make more sense.

So guys, follow me as I show you some interesting pieces from the Royal Armories Museum from the city of Leeds.

So this wasn't just about the weapons and armours for me here, it was about how beautiful it was displayed and trust me when I say this....my photography did no justice to them, at this point I just wanted to capture them just as they were but what can I do lol.

Here we have the "Needle sword" of Arya Stark from the series "Game of thrones" and another from the series "Lord of the Rings".

This here is one of my favourite, the depiction of the tiger hunt, just looks so real.

I literally took so many pictures lol, even though my phone camera did not do justice to this beautiful pieces, I still wanted to share it. There were so many I couldn't capture but if you would like to see them for yourself then you know where to visit next.

Pictures taken by me. 💮

When I was a boy I used to absolutely love knights and armour and medieval weapons. The Glenbow Museum in Calgary has an extensive collection as well, much of which I remember quite well.

Glad you got to get out!

And yes, it can get much colder yet.

How cool, I also have a time that I do not visit a museum as such, but it's great that you could have gone to this one. I liked the post and the sequence of photos I think the one that attracted me the most in this case was the helmet, a real beauty. 😊
