With the unique ability of the voice profiler, would they be able to catch the killer before the next murder?

Talking about kdrama series like this, OCN got us hooked with this crime series. The first season was released in 2017, which was soon followed by it's sequel 2018 and 2019 respectively...bringing it to a number of 4 seasons. Voice is a crime solving thriller which holds lots of gruesome cases of murder. You could say it like your typical detective chasing an insane killer with a twisted mind, however, this was spiced up with the presence of Kang Kwon-joo who has the ability to hear the tiniest of sound which proofed helpful in the series.

The different seasons were directed by Kim Hong-sun (V1), Kim Sang-hoon (V1), Lee Seung-yeong (V2),Nam Ki-hoon (V3), Shin Yong-whee (V4)....season 4 is ongoing at the moment. It starred amazing actors like Lee Ha-na, Jang Hyuk, Lee Jin-wook, Song Seung-heon amongst many others. (Actors from various seasons)

Voice follows the the lives of a voice profiler, Kang Kwon-joo and a detective....Moo Jin Hyuk, who were brought together by the death of their loved ones by a serial killer, her father and his wife respectively. In bid to find the killer, a team was created "Golden Time". With a purpose to rescue victims within a set time after which the victim is presumed to be beyond saving. With other skillful team members, they take on different cases as they also try to identify the psychopath killer in the city.

I am actually a big fan of crime movie/series especially the ones that has to do with an unknown killer and the chase to get him. It gives me the thrill to watch the detectives put minds to discover who the killer is and the moment they realize who the person is.....you know that point of realization, it gives me goosebumps lol.

I like to follow how the detectives analyse the minds of criminals, how they profile them....at the end of the day they discover that the killer had been so close to them....under their very nose. I always have mixed feelings at this point...I am like what the hell? So he has been the one all along? Holy crap!. Then I feel so sad because with this discovery comes the death of a major actor in the movie/series.

Following the first season to the one airing at the moment (Voice 4), you see an upgrade in the storyline, which might be a little different from the previous one. There are also changes in the male lead detectives in the different seasons and as it progresses the killers become more bloody, more brutal, like different types and levels of psychopaths. The series have managed to hold on to its suspense and nail biting theme from the first season and hopefully it carries through to V4.

The cast did great, I mean with actors like, Jang Hyuk you get an exceptional performance as a crazy persistent badass who takes the bull by the horn and go all out in the portrayal of his character. In playing the role of Moo Jin-hyuk, a man who due to the gruesome murder of his wife was left to cater for their son. He displayed a sad and angry detective fuelled by his determination to get his wife's killer. His acting was amazing as I expected if not even more...he is one of my favorite "ahjussi", his movies are a must watch for me.

Lee Ha-na is another good actor after following from V1, although I haven't seen much of her movies aside this one, she was able to capture my attention with her gentle but tenacious performance. In playing the role of Kang Kwon-joo, a young lady with an extraordinary hearing ability, who after "witnessing" the death of her father through her ears was unable to proof anything. She decided on a path using her ability to save people through the "Golden Time Team". The other actors were good in their different roles, together making it a good watch.

Personally, I enjoyed the first season as it took me through a suspenseful, mystery, thrilling and emotional ride which is the kind of series I enjoying watching. Although, I felt the season 1 conclusion was too simple as I expected a big bang on the villain. Aside that, it was quite a good watch "for me". I liked the incorporation of other cases outside the main case of the serial killer, which made the series more entertaining, diverting our attention a bit from the main thing....in form of a relief.

Voice 2 was an upgraded treat, in V3 you see a psychopath killer who goes after the members of Golden Time...a killer who took so much interest in Kang Kwon-joo's hearing ability.

Voice 4, brings a new crazy and more brutal psychopath who will turn the tables around. This time it is a serial killer with the same hearing ability as Kang Kwon-joo. It promises to be brutal, as the full chase is on for a different kind of monster.

I really like series whose plot consists of finding a murderer. I have seen many British, Nordic and American series of this style, but I have seen very few Asian series. Asian movies about killers and crimes I have seen many, but not series. Four seasons, I imagine a different case each season. I'll put it on my list to look for it
