The Game, The Award : A Sports Freewrite.

When it comes to who is who on the football pitch, I guess none other could stand him. His records both in the club and at national level has made him stand out. Laurels, trophies, awards and records breaking records has distinguished him out among other players. The height of it all is the award for the player of the century.

A lot of opposition has come up against this award as being too unrealistic and unnecessary to bequeath on anyone. Still, the organizers count it necessary for no other reason but for the financial gains that comes with it. It's a win-win for them, a big slap on the football body, a confusion to many football fans. Sports commentators aren't taking it easy with the organizers of this award but they lack the power to stop such a thing.

We don't really have anyone to blame for this, it's not matter of who to blame, it's a matter of why are they doing this.
