Friday Finance 12/24/2021: Holiday Edition
It is time again for another Finance Friday/Friday Finance. This is a series I started where I talk about random bits of financial stuff that I have seen, gathered, or experienced during the week. I hope as a reader you find it informational, entertaining, or both. I also hope it can generate some good discussion and edify the Leo community.
Seasons Greetings everyone! I hope you are all doing well on this Christmas Eve. This may or may not be a shorter issue today given the fact that it is the holidays and I have holiday type stuff that I need to be tending to.
I think we can all appreciate that whether you observe Christmas or celebrate some other way.
A good token on a "bad" chain
I am curious to hear what your thoughts might be on this. The other day @scaredycatguide was poking around the Leo Discord server looking for some tokens that might be worth investing in.
I try to keep my pulse on as much as I can in regards to what is taking place in the crypto world. I have some tokens that I've got my eye on and I wasn't ashamed to share them in the chat.
A couple of the tokens were on the EOS blockchain. I personally have no issues with EOS, but I know a lot of people do. I think it has more to do with how things have been handled chain-wise versus an actual issue with the way the chain works. Since EOS is very similar to Hive given they were both created by Dan Larimer, it would be hard to be critical about EOS without looking internally too.
I acknowledge there have been some issues. Even more so as of late due to some internal drama that is taking place.
So my question above stands. Would you still invest in a really good token even if it is on a chain you consider "bad". Does your disdain for EOS preclude you from investing in what could be the next BNB?
What if it were ETH? Would the gas fees alone make it not worth it to you? Heck, what if it was STEEM? Does that make it a non-starter?
If I had enough faith in the token, I don't think my misgivings would stop me. STEEM might be where I draw the line though.
Then again, the way things are happening right now, you can likely pass on that token, wait five minutes, and the next big thing will be right around the corner. Maybe on a chain you do like!
A Season of Blessings
As I said above, tomorrow is Christmas. I just wanted to take a final moment and wish each of you the absolute best as we pass through this time of year and approach the close of 2021.
I hope that each of us here is blessed beyond measure into the coming year. I wholeheartedly wish that each of us is given the wisdom, patience, and discernment to make the absolute best decisions about our portfolios.
May 2022 bring us all more of the good things and less of the bad things.

Happy holidays. EOS had a lot of issues and there was the entire issue of it having most of the stake controlled by a corporation. The community won that battle so it may look better going forward.

I think all still boils down to our preferences. But based on the message I got from this content,I think it will be best to overlook some of the things we've held against certain platform so we can do a lot of good to our portfolios.
