People get frustrated. People have a right to their own views. My whole life I have been good at seeing three sides of a coin. As I read through this post Why Setting Enterprise Membership at 1,000 Listnerds is a Must by @amirtheawesome1 my mind went in a hundred different directions. Then I read the comments thread between him and @jongolson. I don't want to sound like a fanboy even if I am so I will leaving the reading to you. I will say the post and all the comments are a worthwhile read.

Last thing I will say and I said it before. I am 100 percent behind the Team at ListNerds and ListNerds itself.

Enough said from me.

What's happening on ListNerds is typical of a young project. There are oops and surprises, discouragement and dismay, and some may have given up. That's their choice and I respect that. I also read the exchanges between @amirtheawesome1 and @jongolson. I am happy to know that such a conversation is welcomed. I am also glad that the dev has shown commitment to finding a way for the long-term sustainability of the project.

The good thing I made sure to do is rule away brain-dead comments like "I love Listnerds" as if writing an opinion piece makes you a hater. Being a blind supporter isn't a virtue, and not questioning the actions or results of people who:

  • A) Welcome your questioning and need it to make the platform better

and

  • B) Admit that they could be wrong

makes you simply an idiot.

Jon's commitment to the project is never in doubt. Having room for expression has always been his intended goal, so my post is something he welcomes, which is a sign of great leadership.

It's an exchange of ideas post or something to get the ball rolling.

Thanks for sharing the posts. I will have to take a look at the one from @amirtheawesome1! There is always more than a couple of ways to look at an issue. We don't have to agree with every point of view but we should certainly listen/read and respect it.
The construction project for the bathroom reno looks like fun.

I slightly called out behavior where people think believing in a project means having no questions or suggestions AT ALL and just sharing a solution to get the ball rolling. I would also suggest checking the comments because they showed things I have missed and also suggested different routes to take.

Yes, I don't know why Bradley mischaracterized and described the post the way he did here and his video as it is a very disrespectful and disappointing way to describe a post aiming for solutions. So it would mean a lot to me if people gave the post an actual chance instead of just reading this childish way of describing it.

I agree, it's very disrespectful if someone is bringing forward ideas and possible solutions, especially taken into account that this person is invested in the platform. I'm quite sure @lisamgentile1961 will see the good intentions though.
