There is nothing easy about life but you have to stay positive.

There is nothing easy about life, but when it seems everything is gone down the toilet you have to find a way to stay positive and wait for something good to happen.

Mental break down can happen at any time, even if it is just temporary. Last evening was a very heavy hard evening here in my house hold. Let me explain.

As many of you know from a previous post, my wife more than likely does not have much time left. Found out last Friday that her cancer treatments are not longer working. You can read my other post about that. And her mother had a fall, once again I wrote a post about that. Now right or wrong no one told her brothers that her mother had a fall. Right or wrong, once the shock of the fall was over and my mudderinlaw was home same day with a few staples no one thought much of it.

Well all hell hit the fan last night when the two sons got a hold of the news. And over the phone, because they both live a long ways away, my wife took the brunt of the abuse. This combined with the news of her cancer finally sinking in she had a melt down. It lasted for a few hours.

Life was over, and every bad thought that you can think off, she thought and said as I poorly tried to comfort her.

And as you read this you are like wondering where the positive is? lol

Then at 4:19am while we sleep our phones beep. And we quickly check in anticipation. The new granddaughter was born 3:59am today. That is the positive. We are heading out on Wednesday to visit (8 hour drive).

These are the positives you have to hold onto in life. It is what gets you thought the negative and the darkness.

Sorry for no regular post stuff.

Hello @bradleyarrow. My heart sank as I read your post. I can understand the affect family support has on a person's physical and mental well being when it comes to a disease such as cancer. My niece has been battling last two years.

I know it wasn't easy for you to share. Offline is always more important.

You and your wife take care. Enjoy the new granddaughter. Girls are so precious!

Thanks for sharing.

I am so sorry that you and your wife are going through this ... AND, because you and your wife have nothing to lose, if she can eat and will tolerate a change in diet, there is research showing adding beets to the diet daily can really slow cancer down ... onions ... chapparal ... and REALLY restrain sugars while you do this... if you can. It might not work, BUT, it might... I've seen it!

Wonderful on the new granddaughter -- congrats!
