Fungi Friday: Gobble, gobble??

I'm a special type of fungi!

This is one of the most common fungi you can find they tell me. A turkey tail. I understand the reason for it as it does look similar to the bird at least from the back 😀 The interesting multi colored pattern is what caught my eye. They're growing out of an old tree stump as that's one of the places they love to grow along with everything else I see.

A wave of fungi coming at you. You know you love it.

The turkey tail is used in traditional Chinese medicine and is often used to boost the immune system. They don't look very appealing and appear dead to me.

What is the piece of fluff approaching? Be on guard people.

These darn fungi love to live within stepping distance. I don't understand it. My eyes need to be wide open when stomping around or splat, there goes #FungiFriday. Luckily it didn't happen………………. this time.

There were a whole bunch of them and you're right. Some were quite large.

Never been a fungi lover myself but I do acknowledge they look pretty! Kinda ironic as they grow on dead things.

Thanks for the visit @notacinephile. Fungi are an interesting lot and speaking of dead things, I have something to post soon about a certain "Evil Dead". Luckily these fungi won't swallow your soul haha

Before I read the name of this fungi, I thought the multi colored layers/stripes made it look the the side of the grand canyon walls that you see sometimes.

I'm glad no fungi had to die in the making of this post. 🤣 I'm sure for a few moments they thought they were living in the land of the giants !

That's a great point about the Grand Canyon and I can see the similarities. I'm also thinking about the water lines on rock formations too where you visibly see these lines get lower as the years progress.

These fungi survived. I try to be careful but no promises especially if I starting rolling around on the ground as I normally do 😀

What a pile of sweet mess :D
They are popular indeed... but I couldn't even find those on my recent hunt. Aliens took them.. definitely!

I can't argue with you there. A mess, but a fun one. Apparently someone took these aliens to where all the fungi live. They should have known better!

Thank you for the curation and most especially for the visit. I sent you a valentine too, I'm not sure if you got it or not? My notifications are a mess and I can only imagine yours, these are the best type of issues 😀
