My Hive Story.....What's Yours?

Earlier this morning while i was checking on my blog feed to see the latest going on, i came across a post from @nathanmars where he talked about his hive story which you can read here, i realized it would be interesting to share mine as well and also believed many people would be interested in blogging about their experience on how they started their hive journey and how it is still going...

While reading nathanmars post, i figured out the trend was initiated by @snook and @whatsup and @shadowspub so would like to give them credit for this nice initiatives of making hiveans go down the memory lane

1. How long have you been on the Blockchain?

Well i remember vividly that i signed up for hive account on the 7th of december 2017, it still looks like yesterday to me but it was the start of something new, the beginning of a new life as it exposes me to things i have never heard about and also it was my road to freedom

2. What was your background in cryptocurrency when you first came to the Blockchain?

I was a noob, i didn't even know there was a thing called cryptocurrency prior to the time before i joined the hive blockchain and the first coin i knew was hive, the idea of redeeming my coins used to give me lot of joy then...

3. What was your background in writing when you first came to the Blockchain?

None. My first post on the hive blockchain was a big flop, i quoted three love lines and posted it without picture, it was later i realized i had to do my introductory post and my mentor who introduced me to hive also gave me some tips which includes making my post longer and using one or two pictures....

4. How many people did you know when you first came to the Blockchain?

I was introduced by @mimy but unfortunately she is no longer on hive and when i joined hive, i mixed with my fellow nigerians more and was able to know the likes of @ehiboss @illuminatus @pearlumie, they were among the top nigerians doing well on the hive blockchain at those time but unfortunately they have all stopped blogging on the hive blockchain..

5. How did you meet people when you first came to the Blockchain?

There were whatsapp groups mainly created for hiveans, the first hive whatsapp group i joined was genesis-project run by ehiboss and i get to know more leaders who also have their own group which i joined and that was how i keep getting connected with more hiveans..

6. Who did you look up to when you first came to the blockchain?

My first mentor was @pearlumie when i joined the hive platform, he was the one always guiding me on what to do and when my phone was giving me problem, he was the one that borrowed me money to buy a new phone which makes things easier for me on the hive platform, i never forget those wo helped me and i appreciate all for being part of my success story...

7. How would you describe your first three months on the blockchain?

I would admit i had it a little bit easier than some people on the hive blockchain, @mimy connected me to people who made life easier for me in terms of earning on my blog but the publishing of story was not that easy as i had to get a paper and pen and start jotting things down and later try to join them all together to make them meaningful, i blog most about love story and poems those days as it is much more easier for me than anything else, but the moment i started joining contest and winning, i took the contest more seriously than blogging and it was fun all along...

8. Has being a part of the blockchain changed you in any way for the good?

My writing skills have improved a great deal, it changes my mentality too, it paves way for financial freedom, it connect me to people all around the world in which some are now very dear to me, it increases my knowledge about cryptocurrency..to cut the long talks, It changes everything about me..

9. What is your favorite memory from your time on the blockchain?

That was when i won a contest i joined playfully, i never imagined to win it as it was highest dollars on comment that wins, i took it to the whatsapp group which i belong and there everyone supported me and i was able to win the contest, i was surprised and happy because it was not something i expected....

10. If you could give advice to a new person signing up to Hive what would it be?

Rome was not built in a day, as a newbie you must not be greedy, I have seen many newbies lost passion beccause their introductory post got huge vote that gave them lot of dollars but after that they ain't getting much on their post and that kind of discourage them, it should not be that way... As a newbie learn to do this things...

• Engage with others on the platform: Try to drop 10 meaningful comment on other hiveans post on daily basis, it will help you to be recognised on the platform...

• Connection: This only takes you back to the first tip i mentioned which is to engage, when you engage with others, your connection on the platform grows stronger and one of the path way to success on the hive platform is through connection..

• Quality content: Don't just write five lines, add two pictures and post, blog about things you love, express yourself and if you have something you want to teach others, hive blockchain is the right place to do it, impact your knowledge into others and you will reap the benefit of doing that in some way..

• Patience: I have seen the good and bad time of hive, i love the good time and i didn't leave during the bad days too, so learn to be patient, be a holder not a person that dumps the little he owns at every opportunity he get, i believe in hive and i see the possibility of it soaring higher in the nearest future, hold hold hodl!

Oh well enough of the past, thanks to neoxian for all the wonderful support he gave to me on the hive platform, he is a true dragon and my big boss.....
