Money Saving Tip #2

Movies: Theater or DVD
I'd like to start with some prices from a local theater near me when I looked online tonight.
The 7:05 pm movie I looked at which is something I would want to watch says Adult $12.45, Senior $8.95 and Child $8.95
Well in my opinion that is just to much money to spend to sit in an uncomfortable seat where any number of people will be around you eating and drinking high priced things from the snackbar and probably spilling some. Not to mention the talking or noise of kids.
Yes most theaters have "matinee" movies which are cheaper but I didn't look that up tonight.

Prices of cable or other ways of watching a movie on TV at home vary wildly across the U.S. and I'm sure it's expensive for other countries as well.
Yes I've heard people can get streaming services on their computer, laptop, phone, etc. but I don't think that's a good way to watch a movie or the best way to use my computer, laptop or phone. And no I don't have a "smart phone" but I can make calls and get text messages on my cheap flip phone, but that's another money saving tip for another time.

The last thing I want to mention about movies is DVDs which I like. I sometimes buy DVDs at Walmart when I find something I don't have yet in the bargain bin, usually $5 or less.
I have also found a pawn shop that has had used DVDs for $1 each. That's right, ONE DOLLAR! They have all played find for me when watched and they have had 20+ movies that I didn't have both times I went in to look. I don't think I'm a cheap person and I will spend money on something I want when I need to but I also like to save money on some things so I will continue being "cheap" when it comes to movies. I don't need to see them the day they come out, I can wait awhile.

Well, for me, going to the theater is not an everyday thing... I go maybe 1-2 in a month, and the ticket is around $5-$6, so I think it's pretty affordable for watching the latest movie...

Also, it's a small "town cinema" so there are no million people and the atmosphere is actually great...

For everyday pleasure, I watch regular free TV as there is always some interesting movie... and it's FREE :)
