Hello again my cinephile Hivers!

I hope you have a restful Sunday, and successful planning. As you know, this is always one of the best days to finish loading up with good vibes and attitude to face the week.

Recently, on my trusted platform (Netflix) I started a series. I have exposed here before my taste for different genres of movies and series, and one of them are Fantasy plots.

On this occasion, I stumbled upon an interesting title "The Shannara Chronicles".

It's about a post apocalypse scenario, where the Human race has derivatives, among them, Elves, Gnomes, Trolls and different abilities... like clairvoyance, the magical teachings of the druids and others.

I haven't finished the series yet I'm on chapter 8, but it's got me extremely caught up 🤭

p12394342_ce_h10_aa.jpgp12394342_i_h9_ac.jpg

The world is divided into 4 lands... 4 "Leaders" of their race. However, a land maintains the balance of all, but it is going through a crisis... The name of this city is "Arbolon" which is precisely the land of the Elves.

However, many things begin to happen simultaneously... The awakening of the last druid, the appearance of a common enemy, although none of them tolerate the other race and of course there is no lack of action in each episode, references to classics of this style, romance between characters and so on.

But that's not all... One of the main characters (Will) is half Elf and half Human... (typical of any mythology, just check any book of universal history).

Will, it turns out, is the last "Shannara". These are the ones who seek to maintain the order of magic by trying to eliminate demons and dark magic... but for Will to know his powers well he must go through a lot, and the main lesson is to fight with his own past since he must constantly use some "elven stones" left to him by his father before he died.

I know it may seem crazy to recommend a series without finishing it, but seriously, it surprised me not only in its production but in the concept of the plot.

Lord of the Rings was for a generation and I think it will never go out of style because it is already a classic. But I think this can help the new generations to be a little interested in this type of literature and taste, as it has many modern touches of our era.

I share here the trailer so that you can tell me if you dare or not 🤭.

On the other hand, doing a little bit of research on the series, I realized that it is not new at all 😱.

The series is from 2016 and has 2 seasons, but that's not all, it also has some books that I'm definitely going to look for them to give a plus to this experience.

If the series has been good I have no doubts about the books, plus the author is Terry Brooks.

Here I will also leave the technical data sheet of the series for those who want to know a little more about it.

Good morning, I had already seen the first episode of the series and it really did manage to catch you, then I left it for personal reasons but now going back to see the trailer and the recommendation I hope to give myself some time to resume.

Gineth! Thank you for your comment and support, I really appreciate it.

I'm glad sharing the Trailers helps! That's my idea.

Truth be told, I couldn't put the series down 🤭 and that it has 2 seasons I think it makes it more catching because you don't get "stung".

I hope you can finish it soon, and me too 😂

I will try to look for the books in physical 🤓

Greetings!

I haven't seen the series and I don't think I will anymore, I'm not attracted to this story. I would have liked a more in-depth analysis to convince me to watch it. On the other hand, I think I have reminded you before the importance of interaction in hive, I invite you to explore the community and interact in the niches where it is published, commenting on the posts of other users, in this case of fans of movies and tv shows.
