Splinterlands NOT the only way to EARN: New tags exploration!
I got introduced to splinterlands via a blog post on publish0x platform and since then I started to learn bit by bit about the game and then about the multiple possibilities to take part into other activities besides playing the game!
I'm probably like most newcomers who wish to be part of the early days of splinterlands and purchase most cards/SPS/DEC while they were still cheap.
That's why I'm on the lookout of new projects so I can take part in their early days and hoping for their success on the long term
OneUp
A little introduction from flauwy:
Personally, I see 1UP as a gaming community that can build cool stuff for itself. LeoFinance has shown how some dev work can result in amazing value for the token. We certainly plan to follow the same path. And Hive-Engine has created tools like Liquidity Pools and a DAO feature for Outposts like 1UP, with its own inflation pool for proposals. It was never easier than today to put our heads together, dream big and build the 1UP YOU want to see.
The first way to start earning 1up is via using #oneup tag.
Side Note: A little reminder, oneup is not a general tag so I should be used on blog posts related to gaming and NFT so better not include 1UP tag in your BTC analysis or nature talk to keep things clear and give an easier time for curators to look for great posts to upvote.
The curation team got a massive 500k 1UP dedicated for the delegation program divided into 30 delegations, meaning that by producing a quality post, you'll most likely catch the attention of one of them and benefit from a juicy upvote.

In addition to blog posts upvotes, you get comments upvotes for sparking up a conversation and keeping it going.
Moreover, there is a weekly leaderboard for the top 10 commenters that will get rewarded by 100% upvote for their latest content. So keep an eye on engage1up for any news!
What's better than enjoying playing a game, getting rewarded for writing about it, and awarded for talking about the same game with other members in comments.
Diesel Pool
Let's say you've been active and post decent content and got many upvotes, thus you are sitting on a big bag of 1UP tokens. Don't even think about selling it!

You worked hard to earn 1UP, so let 1UP earn you passive income! Who doesn't love passive income? Provide liquidity on the diesel pool and pair it with either:

A fairly new project that I found recently and goes with the same concept of Oneup but includes all types of gaming either play2earn or off-blockchain games on console...

Gaming communities are booming and 1UP come to the game at the right moment. I foress a great expansion, can barely wait to see with what new things the team comes up and how they can incentivize the users. shame you didn't mention PIZZA in this. lots of passive earning there and much better top10 returns than OPG. It's a gaming oriented token as well that runs servers for various offchain games, is involved in every hive game, and curates across hive. Plus there are lotteries that can earn more than 3% for holders not in the top10. www.hive.pizza

Yes using pizza or hivepizza can get you upvotes from the curators and you can be tipped PIZZA by accounts that hold more than 20 PIZZA staked. @thebeardflex linked you to the discord as well and you can get a lot more information there!
Both projects are solid for earnings and I always had the idea of a higher % in time, just easier to earn OPG in top 10 right now where as pizza has been around longer but needs a lot of money to hit top 10 haha.
Not to mention we have solid delegation earnings that can rise as we get more where I have given out bonuses multiple times,the earnings for using the tag and our HP and 1UP delgation for curation!
The main thing is rewarding the communities and working together and actively doing more for a project.
delegation earnings too? that's cool! Is it similar to PIZZA's delegation returns as well? PIZZA has always been a gaming oriented token along with music, art, and creativity and the curation account does a good job keeping up with and voting posts using the HivePizza tag. They curate across most tribes that are related to those topics and have stake or delegations relevant to them too!
I also love that you can buy games with PIZZA, or spend it on Hivelist stores, or in RisingStar and Hashkings!
It's true it really is all about the community though which is why PIZZA is about more than one tribe!
Did you know they shared their tip bot code with LUV? and built a variety of useful tools for Hive as well?

The delegation rewards are pretty nice and I plan on raising the pool to 10 a day when we have a chunk extra to keep the returns at a nice amount that people want it.
Yeah pizza does have a nice spread across other types of content too and had tools and just having the longer time of being around, but one of the things I thought up for a gaming community spawned after finding out about a local arcade that I want to go to a whole bunch and support by being a member and doing lockins, as they are a small business and I have gamed my whole life. So this has been a while coming.
But it isn't about competing, we all are growing together and want successful projects that want more for each community, that is why I think pizza also are one people should buy in, not just OPG, we just have to keep building up to unlocking staking and scotbot etc where we can do so much more!. Plus there are lots of others out there not just gaming projects or hive games, that are well worth it!
What are the things you would like to do with staking and scotbot? Hive has a lot going for it for sure but I think it's possible to have too many projects focused on similar areas! Is there somewhere to see a roadmap or plan for the future for OPG?
As mentioned on Discord; I want to enable more automation for rewards with scotbot because sending them out manually when there are lots of people would be so much more work.
I know there is nitrous for websites though, which might be worthwhile as I would love to have a website going for OPG which if so, could include curation rewards.
Staking will help with more rewards and events held later on, will keep on working to provide more use cases for the OPG token.
There isn't too many projects focused on gaming with a Hive Engine token, there are a bunch that include different aspects of gaming but it is more spread so I think the spread allows for the variety as well.
I have not created a roadmap yet, have been focused on providing for those in the community, getting OPG off the ground and ensuring I keep on being active to show I am determined to keep working on the project and its growth! 🙂
Things are easing up and are settling in my life as I have had a lot of change and had some things with family members having health issues. Hoping to get some extra work done in my free time now.

Hi there! The #HivePizza tag doesn’t pay out any kind of tokens directly, but the !PIZZA team routinely curates great content using that tag so it could get you an upvote from the pizzabot!
