Greetings friends of Hive and @fulldeportes, this time I am going to share with you some training tics to run or walk faster, this is achieved over time as we train, which depends on the physical conditions that each athlete has.

portada.jpg

When I started in the world of athletics specifically in marathons or walks, I sometimes wondered how high performance athletes manage to maintain a very fast pace in a 10 km race or any other 21 km race, since since they give the game this has an explosive exit to detach itself from the group. This can be achieved with a training plan that must be followed progressively, until the desired level is reached.

p01.jpg

According to my experience as a runner, my training was carried out on a weekly basis, which consisted of long, medium and short races during training, where we can several different routes such as asphalt, dirt, mountain, and speed races that are they can perform on a 400-meter track.

p02.jpg

An example would be as a training plan to start the week, on Mondays, do a 1-hour training at a medium pace, that is, do not talk during training. On Tuesdays do sprinting, run 5 or 10 times 100 meters, with a recovery time of 2 minutes. On Wednesdays, train for 1 hour at a gentle pace, on Thursdays, speed training is repeated, finally on Fridays 1 hour at a gentle pace, on Saturday off and on Sunday, do a training of 2 hours at a pace. affable.

p03.jpg

It should be noted that this speed training allows to improve the athlete's performance, achieving greater speed in the race or the walk, on the other hand the long training called background allows us to have a greater resistance in the training, which combines resistance with speed, it will allow us to improve the marks during the races or walks.

p04.jpg

Another training that we can do when hiking in the mountains is to increase the pace on the ascents by 80% and at the end of the climb, decrease the slower pace for 5 minutes, then repeat the slope again. This can be done 4 reps or sets on the mountain. This training will allow us to strengthen the muscles and increase the heart rate during this type of exercise.

p05.jpg

Now, we can maintain these running or walking training for a month, and then the speed exercises of the 200-meter flat series are increased, in the following month the 400-meter series, and maintaining the 1-hour race and the background 2 hours on Sundays.

p06.jpg

On the other hand, in each of these workouts, a warm-up of 10 to 15 minutes should be done, and then start with physical activity. If we want to see the results of the training sessions of the first 2 months, we can perform a check-up on the track of a 5km race at a fast competition-type pace, this will help us to see how much time we do per kilometer and see how we feel during this training.

To close in the walks and races, speed exercises are combined on the track or in the mountains to improve physical performance during a competition, I hope you liked it. See you in the next publication.
