UCL Quarterfinals; Tough times don't last, tough people do

For the untrained eye, these appear to be difficult times, but for us true blues, it's another chance at glory. It all started with a disappointing home defeat to Brentford Bees, but I guess we can take solace in Rudiger's wonder goal, which in my opinion is the top contender for goal of the season. We were then slain by the Real Madrid sword, which was still on the bridge (I'm not sure what happened to that bridge) before we finally got some respite in our weekend thumping of Southampton.

Many of those who don't like our guts (@arsenal4life) are having a field day making jokes at our expense and calling us deplorable names, but I take comfort in the old adage.

"That which does not kill us makes us stronger."

These difficult games have taken their toll on me, but I'm confident that today's match against Real Madrid will be our redemption. In fact, despite the significant stumbling block between us and a semifinal berth, I am confident that, as we did against Napoli in 2012 and Barcelona in 2005, we will shock the footballing world once more and qualify.

There is a lot of faith in Thomas Tuchel's (TT) managerial abilities, his well-prepared team, the unwavering Chelsea supporters, and the never-say-die Chelsea spirit. I understand that it may appear difficult, if not impossible, to our critics, but...

My Prediction
I won't even bother myself with giving a spot-on score because I am confident that at the end of 90 minutes we would have a 2 goal lead and since the away goal rule no longer exists we would plat extra time and if they are lucky penalties. The one thing I am confident about is that we qualify at the end of the night.

In other words, the score could be 0-2,1-3,2-4,3-5,4-6, etc. at the end of 90 minutes, but Chelsea will still qualify for the next round.

I'll see you all tomorrow for our celebratory post, but in the meantime, have a great time watching the game and remember to eat a substantial dinner before watching the game because we'll be at the Bernabeu for a long time.
