Up-North

North is one of the areas out of the four cardinal points of the world, in my article am going to talk about the northern part of my country Nigeria, Nigeria is divided into three ethnic groups, namely the Hausa, Igbo, and the Yoruba they are the three ethnic group and the dominant tribe in the country where all other tribes fall under.

The northern part of the country is for the Hausa, the east is for the Igbo the south are for niger deltas while the west is for the Yorubas. I have been to the north, east, and south of the country, and I have seen the culture, lifestyle, and behavior, but I stayed longer in the northern part of the country.
The northern part of the country is a peaceful place, not until the insurgence, the place has a large land space, have a lot of population due to the religion and cultural beliefs, that encourage polygamous marriage, due to the number of wives, reproduction tends to increase, thereby making the population increase, at the north, way of life is easy and their major occupation is farming and cattle’s rearing. In this region, things are less expensive, unlike the other place in the country. Things that are farmed are cheap and things that are imported from other states are less expensive, but in the east and west even things that are farmed and produced in the state are still expensive.
Life up north is very comfortable, at first if you haven’t been in the north, you will be afraid to go, based on the insurgence in the northeast, and the place is very cool from sunraise to the setting down of the sun.

A friend of mine was posted to Taraba for his national youth service corps (NYSC) at first he was very angry, I now told him that when he got there he love there and he will be comfortable because of the warm hospitality, he said after he’s camping period he will redeploy, after the three weeks of camping, he loves the place and have a change of mind and stay. A lot of people have this bizarre mindset when it comes to the north, but when u have stayed there for a couple of months you will love the environment, and they welcome everyone irrespective of their religion and faith.
