Why should we know and learn about cryptocurrencies?

Cryptocurrencies have many benefits compared to fiat money or paper money that we all know, in that sense, I will give my opinion on some of the advantages they offer:

1. At first, cryptocurrencies offer us freedom, a freedom that allows us to manage our money without the need for third parties to interfere in the management of our funds.

2. Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, which is the best example I can take, has a printing limit, which through its consensus algorithm, known as "Proof Of Work" automatically does not allow any person to increase or decrease the total supply of coins already established, consequently the Bitcoin in pure essence, is a deflationary asset and that works as a store of value, something very different from what is the dollar.

3. Something very important when it comes to money is to manage our privacy in order to protect ourselves, the current banking entities are vulnerable to computer attackers which could jeopardize the information of its customers. In cryptocurrencies, privacy and anonymity prevail over any existing banking system, which provides a very powerful layer of security for the management of our data.

4. Transferring money from one place to another, or from one country to another, can bring with it high commissions, so the cost of these can be very high. Something that cryptocurrencies also solve is the way to transfer money anywhere in the world, with really low commissions and that for example allows us to send remittances with the lowest cost and in record time, which is very different from traditional systems that can take days or even weeks to process a single operation.

5. The world is currently immersed in the digital world and the internet, as time goes by, we see how services similar to "Amazon" are born, making life easier for everyone and that from our homes we can buy practically anything we need, cryptocurrencies in this sense also facilitate the way we acquire goods and / or services over the Internet and as I mentioned above with the lowest transaction costs, which gives us an advantage compared to traditional forms of payment.
