If you live in Lagos, you would agree with me that hold-up is a usual thing almost everywhere you go. I didn't live in Lagos but I've been there several times and my worst hold up experience was recorded in the metropolis

On that fateful day, I woke early in the morning around 5 AM and joined the bus to Ajah. I was going to the consulate. My journey in the morning was free but the whole hold-up story started on my way back

It rained on that day and everywhere was something else. When we got to bony camp, around 6 PM, everywhere was blocked. The worst part was that it wasn't only the normal road that was blocked. The BRT lane was also not moving. After spending 2 hours, some of us came down and walked up front to see what could have held us on a spot for so long

It was a fight between some passengers and some conductors. The bus conductor refused to give a passenger his change and their misunderstanding caused multiple problems. The argument lead to a fight and one of the passengers stabbed the conductor to death. Since. When the army from bony camp came out to see what was happening, they blocked the road and no one was able to pass

The dead body was left for hours before they carried it away. Other conductors became angry and all passengers were careful because everywhere was hot. We remained there till midnight before everywhere was cleared. And when the line started moving, it was very slow. What really happened that day affected me a lot because I was going to Agbara. I got there around three 3 AM and left home again by 5 AM. All I did was take my bath, get something to eat and stepped out. Imagine that kind of life in Lagos. I had no time to rest for complete 24 hours. It was really a hectic day for me

That was the worst hold-up traffic I've ever encountered and I prayed never to get into such again because I nearly cried that day

Thanks for reading
This is ckole the laughing gas
One love

Haha! The mythical Lagos traffic. Holidayed there in December last year and I remain grateful that I still can't relate to being in traffic for so many hours.
I've always believed that at the beginning of the road, there's a reason traffic is so slow; a bad vehicle, wrong parking, etc. but since it happens everyday, I dunno anymore. Or maybe it's like I said but nobody bothers to clear whatever jam there is up. Bad government!

Sorry to hear about your experience.

Surely that most frustrating thing is traffic jam and traffic jam is like the sea of vehicles that you have to dive into.
Thanks for sharing with us ☺️.
