No matter how long you live with your parents, you'll lrave them one day to be on your own. Just as they set up their own family, you'll have to set up yours too. When I was with my parents, I do think of the time I would leave home and settle om my own. Then, it was as if the would never come because the adulthood seems far. But when the timecame, it was as if everything was fast forwarded.

School days was the first encounter

When I gaimed admission into higher institution, I secured an apartment and lived alone. That was the first time I was out of home living life as I dim fit. At first, I missed home. I would call my mum and siblings almost everyday. Gradually, the call interval reduced as I become used to staying alone. But I missed mum's food. When I was home, I never worty about what to eat. Mum must cook for us so no worries. At school, I learned how to manage pocket money. It was a stage in my life that gave me a glimps of living to survive the challenges of life when one is self independent. Even with the pocket money from my psrents, I know what lice entails leaving out from home.

Leaving home totally

After the first phase (School), I went back home and arranged for a journey away fro m home in search of a greener pasture. And you know, life is always greener on the other side and that was what I thought before taking the ride to Abuja (the capital of Nigeria). Life wasn't easy. Hustling day and night on the street was a hell. Sometimes, I would feel like going back to the day when I only play and eat. Our parents really did a great job training us all through those years prividing all our needs. Most of us only come to realize it when we started fending for ouselves.

We are not all born with a silver spoon in our mouth but some people are lucky to have a good background and never hustle to make ends meet when they leave home. Also, some are opportune to get a good job immediately they are alone, but for a person like me, it was hustling things since I left my parents. Life continues. Life goes on. It moves. In as much tgere's life, hope is still not dead. Away from home is a long story that can't finish. Let's keep it short.

Omo... it takes a lot to decide to leave our comfort zone and be on our own to clear our path. It requires a lot as well. Good a thing you were up to the task.
