Insightful investment

As Splinterlands gains in popularity there are more and more discussions about how to maximize rewards and how the future prices for it's two main currencies: DEC ( dark energy crystals ) and SPS ( splintershards ) might evolve in the near future with upcoming content and influx of new players shaking the current status quo.

I spent a big chunk of last Sunday trying to see what getting into Splinterlands might imply from a time investment standpoint and also a money investment standpoint. And it looks like it takes going full ape on at least one of them :P if not both. Of course some people just buy cards and rent them as an investment but I would like to know how the games works, what's the current meta, things like that before jumping in with my hard earn crypto.

I also realized there are a lot of complex decisions to make if you want to maximize your returns, like the decision between buying SPS or DEC, how and when to exchange them for each other, taking into account how the APR will evolve and other similar things. bulldog1205 goes way more in depth on the topic and does a great job explaining how many variables are at play.

Personally I think it's a bit risky jumping in at this point of the game without some serious cash and time to spent, but I'm considering buying some index tokens so I could receive SPS and DEC passively. Maybe I'll buy some bullshit tokens as well, meme coins have done very well in the past, who knows, history might repeat itself :P

And maybe while people were distracted by games the new world order snuck up and reamed them up the sphincter with a 6 foot butt plug...
