"A Tapestry of Guidance"

Within the walls of the school nestled amidst the busy streets of Olongapo, a young teacher named Arlan embarked on his first teaching assignment. The sprawling campus boasted manicured gardens and elegant buildings, giving welcoming vibes. The scent of blooming bougainvillea filled the air, adding a touch of vibrancy to the serene surroundings.

Mrs. Roxas: "Of course, Arlan. It's heartening to see your dedication and passion for teaching."

Arlan took a seat beside her, His eagerness is evident in his voice. "Mrs. Roxas, I've noticed the impact you have on our students. Your expertise shines through in every interaction. What motivates you to give so much of yourself?"

A fleeting smile graced Mrs. Roxas's lips as she recollected her journey.

Mrs. Roxas: "Maya, teaching is a vocation that holds immense responsibility. Years ago, when I first started, I faced personal hardships that taught me the value of education. It became my purpose, my guiding light."

Curiosity ignited within Arlan, urging her to delve deeper. "If you're comfortable sharing, Mrs. Roxas, what hardships did you face?"

Mrs. Roxas's gaze softened, revealing the vulnerability beneath her professional façade.

Mrs. Roxas: "My husband left me for another woman, and as a single mother, I became determined to provide the best for my son. Education became my lifeline—a way to secure a better future for Daryl. But a year ago I learned that Daryl is in need of treatment for kidney failure. You know Arlan you actually look a lot like him"

"Take care of your kidney anak ha, If in case your kuya Daryl needs it", Mrs. Roxas jokingly said.

"Don't drink a lot of soft drinks!" she added.

Arlan's heart swelled with empathy and admiration for his colleague's strength. He leaned in closer, her voice filled with sincerity.

Arlan: "Mrs. Rodriguez, I'm deeply moved by your story. It's evident that your resilience and love have transformed the lives of countless students. Your dedication is inspiring."

Arlan was amazed at how strong Mrs. Roxas is, even though facing a huge hurdle in her life she can still throw one or two jokes. She always makes Arlan's day.

From that day forward, Arlan and Mrs. Roxas formed a unique bond, exchanging smiles and laughter during their free time. Arlan sought Mrs. Roxas's guidance on handling his students and taking responsibility as a teacher.

When Mrs. Roxas sees Arlan holding a cola, she always scolds him to always take care and drink a lot of water.

A couple of months passed and Arlan noticed that Mrs. Roxas became a little bit gloomy. Mrs. Roxas gives out a smile but it is much heavier than before, a concern that left Arlan in shock.
