Joined Splinterlands in August of 2021.

How did I discover Splinterlands:

During the surge of lockdowns and recessions, work-from-home setups were a rampant way of earning a decent amount of money. Crypto was ringing a bell because I myself needed some extra to start up a new life. I am on the edge of quitting my job last year and I want to have a huge career change.

Crypto was never an option back then because I am not familiar with how it works but after hearing about Splinterlands from an Earn-from-home seminar on Facebook I was immediately curious about it. Since I am an avid fan of gaming especially card games, Splinterlands is a perfect launchpad on my crypto journey.

What were your strategies in playing Splinterlands?

At first, I just started with the $10 spellbook and bought a couple of quest potions. From the daily quest rewards, I got a good chunk of DEC and bought cards that I need to grind more DEC. Then I learned about card flipping using monster market and started earning good amounts of DEC from trading cards. But currently, I am now focusing on flipping packs and maximizing the SPS airdrop points in the liquidity pool.

When did you start streaming?

I started streaming early in 2019, the first game that I tried to stream is Growtopia (and sandbox game for kids LoL). Then I found out about Legends of Runterra (a card game based on League of Legends characters and champions).

@drabs587, @gameboyali, and @zasktrader helped me a lot to be motivated in streaming. @gank / @splinterlandsHQ and @clove71 (the OG's and Godfather/Godmother of my stream journey) got me a lot of boosts to start streaming Splinterlands.

Huge shoutout to the NoSleepGang the support from these guys are really amazing and full of love.

Where are you now in your journey?

I consider myself a noob in crypto and I want to learn more. I have a collection of cards in Splinterlands that puts me in the silver league at end of the season. I also have a couple of SPS staked, which I am really bullish for.

My crypto journey is still fresh but I can say that it is a great one. Aside from Splinterlands I am now investing in different HIVE games like @risingstargame, @dcity, and @exodegame. I also love Faded Monsuta in the WAX blockchain.

In streaming, most of my live streams are on twitch. The support from the Splinterlands, Rising Star, and Faded Monsuta community is amazing! The twitch channel grew and is still growing fast.

What are your future plans in crypto, streaming, and life?

My main goal is to establish a Crypto Pub-themed Bar/Restaurant where people can chill and talk about crypto. The bar will also be streamed live on a twitch channel. I plan to have a token connected to the pub too and pub token holders will have voting power on business decisions in the pub. I would like to test and prove that we can use crypto money to make a business alive.

In terms of streaming, I applied for a slot in the Splinterlands stream team. I look forward to the outcome and the amazing future that it will bring me.

I am choosing happiness and will be choosing happiness over anything.

Personal Introduction

I am Roi, a teacher, a streamer, and a dreamer residing in the Philippines. I go under the name of CmmndrGarlic/CmmndrBawang as my pseudonym. In my 27 years of existence, it is this year that I have chosen to be happy. I am planning to quit my teaching career and focus on building the Crypto Bar/Restaurant that I am dreaming of.

I am still walking on a long road of preparations but I know that as long as I keep on moving forward I can do it.

I am still working on fixing my schedule with work and a lot of things. I want to keep blogging constantly and that is one of my missions in 2022. Streaming is gonna stay and gonna more amazing.

Just this year I managed to be part of the streamer cards in the @risingstargame (which is one of my happiest moments in life) huge thanks to @atomcollector for making this possible. I am on the mission to get the starbits millionaire card too. My Rising account is currently sitting with 111K starbits so I am in 10% of my goal here lol.

I also love playing splinterlands. My account is currently sitting at 34,415 Collection power with a couple of Chaos Legion packs. I am still a tadpole in this game and I am really happy with it.

My crypto assets growing and I know that there is a long way to go. I am excited about the future and I am excited for the days that I can meet more amazing people in HIVE.
