Introspection and our Journey to Crypto Gaming: An Introduction

Have you tried talking to yourself, having thoughts and questions about the mental process you did today, having doubts, and thinking about clarifying your daily actions? These are signs that you are into introspection and self-reflection.

Hi am CmmndrGarlic and I would like to open your views on the idea of self-improvement through the process of introspection. It is a powerful psychological exercise to extract value from your mistakes and highlight the positives that you've done in life.

What is introspection?

In a brief way of describing it, Introspection is a way of obtaining information based on one's personal occurrent mental state to locate possible sources of error in the things we do and to pinpoint ways to improve ourselves.

Wilhelm Wundt created the concept of introspection in the late 1800s (Persaud, McLeod, and Cowey 2007). Wundt studied mental functioning in three areas: thoughts, images, and feelings. Wundt's study paved the way for contemporary research on perceptual processes and the development of cognitive psychology.

How can Introspection help us?

In our journey to crypto, business, and gaming, thousands of thought is being processed by our brain every day. More than half of what we think is the repetition of the negatives of yesterday. For me, It is important for us to learn how to refocus our minds on the positives through introspection: to analyze our past actions and to find points of improvement from the previous decisions we made.

It is critical to pay attention to our mind's activity and to limit it when necessary (Wallace 2006). Enhancing our ability to understand ourselves and our motives, as well as learning more about our own values, allows us to emphasize fulfillment rather than the distractions of our modern, fast-paced existence.

Doing daily introspection is a healthy and adaptive exercise, but it should be done with caution—there is a bad way to go about it. When we fail to do it properly, it may lead to thought patterns that aggravate mental disturbances (Wallace 2006).

In this series of posts, I would like to present some ways to do introspection and provide daily questions to ponder. This is a continuation project of the G-thoughts series that I have started weeks before.

Let's journey together and help each other to know ourselves better. See you on the next G-thoughts episode. Peace Out!

To be honest, I process my thoughts that way but didn't know about the concept or the definition of it.
Everyday is a learning day :)
Thanks for sharing.

It's really cool to meet people with the same wavelengths as ours. And yes, we can learn something new every day we just need to open our eyes and minds to the possibility of it. People also need to learn how to respect everyone's view no matter how big or small they are.

I am really happy to meet you guys and I am looking forward to learn things with you :)

I like to pair introspection with journaling for trackable results.

That's a good idea! My plan is to record a video of my introspection journey and share it with you through blog posts. I am also planning to invite people to interview so people can also hear their views on the topic.
