My Wednesday Adventure: Teaching Observation

Join me on a day of teaching intern supervisor! Hello Hive, Cmmndrbawang here, and this Wednesday I went for a trip to one of my teacher interns. This is one side of my life and I am excited to share it with you all.

I rode the jeepney around 8:00 AM because the demonstration was scheduled at 10:10 AM. It took me around 1 hour to get there.

On my way, I saw teenagers meeting up for a beach trip. It reminds me of my youthful days of chilling on the beach on a hot morning here on the beautiful islands of the Philippines. They are carrying palabok, shanghai, and some kakanin. oh, my mouth is watering as I walk slowly behind them.

Fast forward 1 hour, and I arrived at my destination. But before going to the school I visited the nearby church and pray. I still have some time to spare so I decided to have a short detour and visit the plaza.

The plaza is near the shore. obviously, it is a fishing barangay. Most of the people here go fishing for a living.

People use these small banks to catch some fish and sell to the nearby market. It is very refreshing and nice to look at this view as I start my day of work.

I arrived at St. Anthony's School of Matain and took some time to observe students. They are having their recess here, some are chilling there in the shade and there are a few practicing a dance on the stage.

The green color of the buildings gives a relaxing and chill vibe. They have a very spacious field so it's a little breezy. I can feel the ocean breeze from here.

Before the bell rang, I visited the principal's office to give courtesy. Unfortunately, ma'am Charmaine was not around because she is in a meeting. So, I just met the academic coordinator.

I am in awe of the preparation that my student did for her final demo. Just look at this long table. Usually, I am just given an armchair to the demo but she prepared a long table for us.

Ms. Jessa started her class by making sure that everyone is settled and the room is clean. She will be teaching English to grade 10 students.

I appreciate her effort to prepare these instructional materials. They are readable and they look nice. There are some points for improvement, but overall the demo was a success.

After the class, we organized a post-conference and brought the observation notes to Ms. Jessa. To be honest, I am really distracted with the jollibee in front of me.

After that long day, I went back to the office to finish the documents and prepare for my online class.
