Trying out Beef and Mushroom Salpicao at Grilleria's by Chef Andrew

As my name is tied with a very famous ingredient 'garlic', I can say I am a big foodie. I love eating and trying out different food. Today I visited a new food place in our city, Grilleria by Chef Andrew. I tried one of their entrees the beef and mushroom salpicao, and it is a dish wanting to get a second serving of.

Before I reveal what the food looks like and how it tastes, let me first give you a short tour of what is inside the Grilleria.

Ma'am Olive Grilleria by Chef Andrew is a restaurant showcasing grilled food of various types of meat. They feature a grilled dish each day, and when we visited them the featured dish of the day is grilled herbs mahi-mahi with butter sauce.

Here is the menu of food that they are serving. The food is classified according to Starters, Entrees, and Main Dishes. Their goal is to set affordable fine dining vibes.

Aside from the mouth-watering food selection, the restaurant gives an aesthetic vibe through the paintings hung on the walls. I think that is where the name Grilleria was coined -- Grill and Galleria.

I believe the paintings are made by Ma'am Olive. I love this concept because you got some things to appreciate and look at while waiting for your food.

The little chef at the corner of the gallery looks really cute too. I think he is going to get drunk tonight with the shot glass that he is hugging.


The Food

I ordered a beef and mushroom salpicao, Beef Salpicao is a savory stir-fry dish with a mix of beef cuts and various toppings like mixed vegetables and other flavorings. Usually it has a spicy garlicky flavor, In this preparation, it is served with eggs and mushroom which elevates the savory taste. The dish is also served on top of cooked rice.

I also had the chance to taste their Pinakbet, a mix of vegetables and beef cuts. Pakbet is a famous Filipino dish with eggplants, string beans, squash, ampalaya, and stir-fried with bagoong.

To finish the meal, I had a slice of leche flan, it is a common Filipino dessert made from egg and milk. A creamy way to finish an awesome treat of savory food.

I want to go back and try out their burgers and the famous baby back ribs sinigang. I heard that these dishes are also worth trying.

Overall, I would rate the place 9 out of 10 plates of creamy salpicao! Ma'am Olives Grilleria by Chef Andrew is a place to go when you want to have a feel of exquisite tasty grilled food here in Olongapo City, Philippines.

Ahhhh, foods huhu. I really miss pinakbet na, cant eat it rn coz my Mom can't eat it, and the leche flan aguyyyy 🤤. Its been so long since I last had thag too.
