A bandit monkey in my bread
During our stay in Bogotá last month, one of the places we went to eat was El Mono Bandido. It is a place that sells burgers and has a few branches in the city. We ate at the one near the Parque de la 93. We went there one afternoon after some errands, and because of the time, the place was not crowded.
As is the trend, the menu had some craft beer options. Some are produced locally, and others are from other Colombian breweries. My son and I tried an IPA from Master Beer, a blonde-colored beer with a citrus flavor and 6.2% alcohol. The husband had a house soda of pineapple and ginger with rosemary and cape gooseberry that was so refreshing and very tasty.
For lunch, we chose to start with some arepitas de yuca (cassava) which came with a piece of pork belly which were delicious and some patatas bravas with aioli sauce. And then we each had a shrimp burger. They called it a burger, but it was more like a breaded shrimps sandwich with a crispy onion topping and a spicy sauce that was delicious.
The place has a fun concept, and the bandit monkey is even in the burgers bun. If I'm back in town, it would be one of the places I'd like to eat at again.

My mouth is watering!!! I just saw the hamburger with the little monkey and I wanted to come and read because besides being delicious it looked so funny!
The place looks really beautiful but the food is the one that definitely takes the prize. The presentation is amazing and if you say you're going to come back if you come back to the city it's because it was really good and now I want to haha!
The food is yummy and the place has a nice vibe, so it is worth a visit if you ever have a chance.

I didn't know you were in Bogotá, I've had two uncles and their families there for years, and whenever I go to Colombia I visit them.
