Back to La Fila and to hiking

LaFila_17032023_2.jpgCaracas view from La Fila Park

It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top.
-Henry Ward Beecher

The week has been marked by some little milestones around here. But no less important for that. We finally took Grogu to the vet to be neutered. I also had the first tests done to see if they can determine why I had the blood clots that caused my heart attack a few months ago, and I should get the results in a couple of weeks. And today, finally after months of recovery, I have returned to hiking on the mountain trails near my home. Until now, I had only been walking on flat terrain.

The place where I like to go hiking is just a few minutes from my house, and it is a sector of mountain trails called Parque La Fila. I have shared some hikes there before and the beautiful views of the city from the top.

There are several mountain routes, with some moderate and some steeper climbs. But I did them all without problems. I felt so good.

LaFila_17032023_6.jpg

I went with a couple of girlfriends as my husband was busy yesterday. We were accompanied by Choco, who belongs to one of my friends. He was diligently marking the route. 🐶

LaFila_17032023_5.jpg

And although at this time of year, there are a lot of droughts because the rains have not yet begun, nature always seeks to surprise us in some way. And these tiny white flowers were on the sides of some of the trails.

LaFila_17032023_1.jpg

And we made it to the top. And I felt so happy to be there and able to contemplate the majestic view of The Avila from there once again. And to receive all the good vibes that nature gives us and to feel that I am alive.

We stayed for a while contemplating the view and the Caracas afternoon from the top. And while we were chatting, Choco boldly was barking at a dog five times his size until the owners and their dog went on their way, hehe.

LaFila_17032023_4.jpg

We soon decided to get going so that the darkness would not catch us on the mountain. But first, I took this panoramic view from the top of the mountain.

And this, besides being my account of a test overcome by being able to be back in an activity that I enjoy and like to do, such as hiking in the mountain. It is also my participation in this week's #edtopic: Walking, proposed by @mypathtofire.

I am glad that you went out hiking Super Eli!

Thank you, Super Ed
I won't overdo it, I promise.

Choco was so much fun exploring everything, and he had to go ahead because otherwise, he would have tangled us up with the rope. He did try to do it 😂. And we could have ended up in a scene from The Three Stooges.

I'm so behind with Hive and should catch up, but the day is sunny, so I think I'll go out, and I'll catch up in the afternoon, hehe

Best of luck with your bets and football.
Enjoy the Saturday.
And have a wonderful weekend, Super Ed 💙🌀

The views are breathtaking. And in the morning, when the sky is usually more clear, the mountains look more impressive.

Yes, I had a big scare, but thank God I'm fine now.
The view from that place is amazing and the climb, although steep, is much smoother than the Avila ones.
Thank you very much for your kindness and good wishes😊 And for your support always.
Have a wonderful Sunday. Hugs!

What an achievement Eli, you're a brave lady! You must be fit again to take on such a hike, I do hope there's a simple solution to why the clotting happened.
I firmly believe the Covid virus has much to do with this kind of health problem, as I've never in my life heard of so many young people getting clots!
That photo of you with the mountain range and the stunning clouds really is special!
Look after yourself xxx

Hahaha.... I remember reading that about Grogu and how she was very dizzy after the whole process ( the drugs caused it though).
Hope she has recovered fully?

Sorry about your heart attack also.
Those are indeed beautiful pictures and am glad you made it to the top after so many months of not hiking at all

I especially love the view in your first photo! Wow, that's beautiful!

I'm so sorry to hear about your heart attack! But I am glad to hear that you can be active again!

I hope the results of your tests will give you some clarity as to why it happened.

But being active again seems to be a good sign. Stay strong and stay !ALIVE

The quote made me laugh but that's the truth. I love climbing down the hills as going up seems so tiring and hell of a hard one but to see how beautiful seeing from the top is, then you have got to climb it. Lol

These are lovely photos and I admire them.
