3 important things to take note of while creating a content

This content was created basically for newbies and returnees finding it difficult to get back on their feet with content writing, myself inclusively.

Before writing this content, I was writing on a topic and was unable to complete it for about 4 days, it felt so difficult to give the content a form. I finally canceled the content despite having my key points well jotted. This kept me bothered and wondering how I was able to finish my content in a day maximum back then.

WITHOUT WASTING TIME, LETS GO STRAIGHT TO BUSINESS
What are the things to consider while writing, that will help you find writing more easier and fun.

@corporateay

1 Interest

Before writing on a topic or participating in a group, you should make sure that what you are writing on genuinely interests you. You may find couple of posts addressing similar issues here on hive, and that most of these contents were well upvoted. You might want to write addressing the same issue to see if you would get upvoted as well, whereas on a normal day the focus wouldn’t be of interest to you.

Creating such contents would frustrate you because you would most likely know so little about it, and at the end of the day you might not get the upvoting you desire because of the nature of the content, and this would further frustrate you considering the time you have spent and how you have stressed your brain just to create the content.

One good thing about hive is that, any content whatsoever can be well upvoted as far as it is genuine, creative and it reaches the right audience. So instead of trying to follow someone else’s footsteps because of the rewards they are getting, seat back and identify what is meant for you, create your own walkway, and make maximum use of it.

2 Information and plagiarism

Have it in mind that most of the people who will read your contents are people who probably understands the topic of your content more that you do, or have diverse views on it. So you really don’t want to mess things up. Ask yourself these questions, *why exactly am I writing on this topic, what information will I pass with the content? If the only reason for the content is the rewards, then you might get heartbreaks over and over again.

After getting the reason for the content, also know that your already known information about the topic would never be enough, because if at the end of writing a post you haven’t learnt something new yourself, then you probably have not done your assignments well enough.

No body is an island of knowledge, you have to learn more to be more productive. Just like writing a project or a term paper, writers should make inquiries about what they are writing on, read books, visit the internet to see what people’s views are on the same topic and so on. After having more understanding and clearer view of what you want to write about, then you can start to write based on your vast understanding.

Note:- Acquiring information for batter knowledge and plagiarism are two different things, searching for more information would enable you as a writer to understand the topic from different perspective and also broaden your knowledge, making you to write like a pro. But plagiarism on the other hand is the act of copying words for words and sentence for sentence from an already prepared source, and mostly without giving a reference to the original author. Plagiarism is highly prohibited on hive and other blog chain, but broadening your knowledge before creating contents is totally allowed.

3 Expectations leading to discouragement

This is in fact the most important aspect of this content. After going through the trending page and after you might have seen some posts which are probably not up to a day and their hundreds of dollar worth of upvote, it is easier to get encouraged to create a content with high expectations while writing, but what happens after posting and at the end of the day you hardly got a dollar worth of upvote, or to make everything worse $0.00 upvote.

Discouragement would start to set in, once this process repeats itself two to three times, after spending hours to create those contents, it would start to feel like all efforts are wasted, it gets frustrating and at the end of the day the account might end up being abandoned. This is how most people never achieved a thing on hive till date.

As a newbie or a returnee, expect less of upvote and aspire for more comments. At this stage where you haven’t being know by many or forgotten, the most important thing for your growth is engagement, this is how you gain awareness. The most interesting part is that, it is easier to get more comments than more upvoted. But at the end of the day, more comments will get you more trends and eventually more upvotes as time goes on.

And all you need to do for more comments is to comment more on other people’s contents. I mean reasonable comments, not the likes of “Thanks for sharing”, “What a wonderful post”, and so on. Read, understand and share your own views towards people’s contents. Before you can imagine, you would find them doing the same thing on your contents. The law of RECIPROCAL.

IN ADDITION
Matthew 6:33 (hive/blogchain version 😜😜)
But seek ye first the comment of the people, and their engagement, and all other upvotes shall be added unto you

LOL 😂, That last part was just to brighten things up a little, after a long read I think that was needed.

*Thank you for read through, I hope you have more fun creating contents and that you have a better experience on this blogchain. See you at the top.

Having a great interest in an intended topic is very important. As for the expectation on my payouts, I have learned to take them as they come, the important thing to me is getting those writing out of my chest so I take the payout as a bonus.

The last part !lol funny but so true
