Belgian Cup Thursday Preview | Eupen vs Anderlecht

I really got lucky yesterday as AA Gent overall just was the better team getting so many chances including a penalty that it's quite a miracle that they didn't score. One more match to have a look at in the cup on Thursday.

Eupen vs Anderlecht

Anderlecht after a long unbeaten streak now had 2 losses in a row. These matches did come against good in-form teams Union & Cercle Brugge. Overall I still consider them a good capable team who at the same time are a bit overrated on the betting market based on the handicap lines they get assigned which makes it hard to actually back them pre-game. Eupen is without a win in their last 7 league matches and is now 14th in the standings just 4 points ahead of Seraing and 2 teams in between that have some matches to be played. If they could sing for being safe from relegation in the league at the cost of being eliminated in the cup today they for sure would so it remains a question how serious they will take it. This weekend they also play against Anderlecht away in the League. So the summary of this match is that Anderlecht should be the favorite because they are the better team also having more incentives to play their A-Squad going for the win while at the same time they have been overrated in their handicap lines. For that reason, I'm by no means comfortable with a -1 away line. For both the total or the corners also nothing really stands out so I will be taking a pass on this match having No Pre-Game Bets
