Another good day with some profit out of low-stakes bets and I hope to be able to continue like this today and tomorrow when most of the Belgian League matches will be played.
Charleroi vs Kortrijk
Charleroi right now is 3rd last with just 4 points out of 21 which all came from draws. This makes them highly under-ranked based on their actual performances and team quality as they deserved a lot more. In their 4-2 loss last week against Brugge, at times they were the better team willing to go forward but finishing chances remains an issue. Overall I'm looking to back Charleroi but despite their low ranking they are the -1 favorite against Kortrijk which just is a big handicap to take as they aren't underrated on the market. Kortrijk took a surprise draw last week against a underwhelming Anderlecht. Their main weakness is the defense as they already got 19 goals against and they are set to have a really difficult season. Based on all this, Charleroi is the deserved big favorite while at the same time I would not be surprised if this turned into an outright away win also because things haven't been going Charleroi their way. I do expect Charleroi to take the match in hand at the start and will be looking at a potential -0.25 1H bet on them or on them creating more corners. for now
No Pre-Game Bets
Kv Mechelen vs OH Leuven
Mechelen last week had a reality check with a deserved loss away against Stvv after taking 3 wins in a row against Eupen, Westerlo, & Union. Usually they are better at home but also mostly load themselves up against the top teams. OH Leuven took a poor start of the season with missing players and not ready but in the last 2 weeks they have improved even though I still don't see them as weaker compared to last season. Last year this match ended in a 0-0 draw while Mechelen otherwise was a pretty overisgh team at home. OHL has yet to lose an away corners matchup and they have an average of 6.3 while Mechelen so far at home had 10 in each of their matches. I took a tiny bet of 0.0059 units on
Under 10.5 corners @ 1.980. I will just take this match and just see where it goes in-game.
Antwerp vs RWDM
Antwerp got trashed by Barcelona in the Champions League. When looking at previous situations like this were a top team loses big in Europe followed by a home game against a lower-ranked team, it resulted in 2 clear home wins beating the big handicap [ 07/12/2021 PSG vs Club 4-1 -> 12/12/2021 Club vs Zulte 3-0 (-2.25 open & close line) & 26/10/2022 Club - Porto 0-4
-> 29/10/2022 Club - Oostende 4-2 (-1.75 Open & -2 closing line)]. Most of the matches after a big loss also had high goals. Antwerp remains a solid team but the main issue with them is that they are quite comfortable defensively which makes them not push for bigger scores often. My betting angle tends to be more goals in 1st half or Under the moment Antwerp takes the lead early. RWDM has surprised with good results against all teams aside from the top teams as they lost 7-1 to Club Brugge & 0-4 to Genk both in matches where they got chances to score. They do have quality in the offense with Mercier, Biron, Gueye but show too weak in defense. Moist logical result is a home with with multiple goals but I don't exclude RWDM to score even though Antwerp has a solid defense. I took just a 0.046 unit bet on
Antwerp Win & Both To Score @ 3.01 I also consider an over bet with an eye to reduce exposure in case Antwerp scores first.
