I was pretty happy getting away from the 1-1 match with a small profit not losing anything. 3 more matches today that each are set to be very interesting in their own way...

Beerschot vs Eupen

Beerschot once again lost their match last week under their interim coach after Maes was fired. They started the match 20 from behind giving away a clumsy Penalty instantly taking the 2-0. After 8 weeks, it is clear to say they have been the weakest team in the league and from what it looks like both their quality and mentality just aren't there. They now have a new coach Torrente for this match which always has the potential to cause a shock effect even though I'm honestly doubting it since they so far haven't been close to being competitive in the league. Eupen on the other hand resumed their winning ways last week with a fair 1-2 away victory against Cercle. I had a lean on Eupen early this week when the line was +0 @ 1.85 but that boat is gone as odds came down to 1.68 now and I'm not planning to chase it. I'm still going into this match with a lean on the away side. Both the Coach change which might bring tactics mostly focussed on defense and a potential short-term shock effect just has me waiting for in-game betting. If there are signs that the new coach will put all focus on defense first, I'll likely get in on the 1H Under 1.25 bet just before Kick-Off. No Pre-Game Bets

Zulte-Waregem vs Kortrijk

Zulte-Waregem currently is 16th in the league with 8 points in a table where everyone (aside from the last team) is really close. I see them as a team that is not great but also by no means horrible and they have the potential to take wins against most teams. They narrowly lost with 2-1 against union playing almost the entire match with 10. They tend to have better results away and have yet to win at home this season. The derby against Kortrijk for a long time has been the match they couldn't put up a result against but they did break the streak in the previous encounter with a draw. Kortrijk so far I rate similar to Zulte-Waregem even though they are in 7th position having 5 points ahead. They took a home win last week against AA Gent who both missed a penalty and got an offside goal denied multiple minutes after the initial phase which was quite ridiculous. Especially away, they have been quite solid on the defensive end but they did lose their last away match with 2-1 against OHL. I personally don't see the gap between these teams being big and poor home results along with the past bad results against Kortrijk for me has an overly big influence on the price Zulte-Waregem gets. I expect them to play focussed and very motivated with a mission to win today giving their home fans a win. The main danger will be the counters. My main bet on this match is 0.4 units on Zulte-Waregem +0.25 @ 1.903 which I also took some extra on as a crypto bet (1000 WGR on Zulte-Waregem +0.25 @ 1.86 on Wagerr.com). I also took 0.1 units on Zulte-Waregem -0.5 @ 2.912 and still have some room left to potentially take more in-game.

Standard vs Sint-Truiden

Standard hardly can be called a top teal these days as they have been one of the teams that impressed the least. They are still in 8th place but they are losing ground. They count on a good defense and a lot of enthusiasm especially at home where their fans so far always have been loud. Last week they lost 0-1 to Anderlecht after getting a red card very early in the match. I'm expecting a similar pattern where they play good defense having a good mentality falling short to really hurt their opponents due to a lack of overall team quality. Stvv put up a really good performance last week keeping everything closed in defense against Genk (B-Squad) luring on counters which worked for the most part until late in the match where the Genk A-Squad players came in to make the narrow difference. I'm expecting a similar type of play today in a match where the biggest quality of both teams comes from the defensive end especially in the 1st half. I did get a bet in early this week on 1st Half Under 1.25 @ 1.77 (I only managed to get 0.25 units due to limits) and I also managed to get 0.125 units on Under 2.75 @ 1.80. The odds have dropped a bit since but they are still high enough for me to take a bit extra in a 0.2 unit bet on 1st Half under 1 @ 1.990. I do expect a start of the match where Standard pushes forward having a higher chance to create corners compared to actually scoring. They are 4W-0L so far at hone on winning the corners at home on average by 4.25 while Stvv away on average lost their corners by 2.5 (1W-3L). I took 0.35 units combined on Standard 1st Half Corners -0.75 @ 1.970 and Standard 1H -0.5 Corners @ 1.730 also adding 0.15 units on Standard -1.5 Corners @ 1.90.
