The Dec Hunters Guild has been around since guilds were introduced to the game and we are currently ranked 18th out of 1234 guilds in Splinterlands. 1 out of 27 spots is available for a potential new member right now (players come and go and more spots might become open later on). I consider our guild to be very friendly with no drama or high requirements to stay in. Everyone is expected to contribute in the way that they can (see below) and is free to speak their mind and we try to act based on numbers in a way that benefits the guild the most without anyone having to fear for their spot.
The Benefits the Guild Offers
Right now, our Guild Hall and Lodge are at level 9 which gives every ranked battle each of our Guild members plays a +15% DEC Earnings Bonus and -8% Discount in the store on everything that can be bought! We are in the 2-star arena (along with 36 other guilds) getting a 3x multiplier on rewards and a +60% Merrit bonus. Our average finishing position in the Brawls is around place 3-4. Last Brawl we managed to finish 2nd which rewarded everyone that played into a fray 3450 Merrits. SPS rewards are also expected to come as rewards for Guilds in the near future. All of this in a friendly environment where members of the group help each other out when needed.
What Players We Are Looking For...
Everyone in the group needs to bring some kind of added value and also meet some minimum requirements in terms of the game. These are some of the things we look for...
Commitment To The Splinterlands Game: Ideally, we look for players that have a longer-term mindset which also shows in their investment in the game. New players with little to no collection power or players that only rent cards are not what we are looking for. Right now we both have active contributing members with Collection Power of over 4 Million to as low as 80k Collection Power. In order to join, 100K Collection power is the absolute minimum. Of course, the higher the better.
Reliability: One of the things that makes running a guild much easier is to have members that can be relied upon and who play pretty much every day and have Splinterlands as their main game. If you aren't able to play, contribute, or if something changed in your collection, just let it know in the guild chat or on our Guild Discord.
Wide Card Collection instead of Focused Collection: It is much better for the guild if a player has a wide collection of many different summoners and monsters compared to just a couple of them at a higher level. Having a wide collection is needed to be competitive in the Guild Brawls and it also makes it a lot easier to complete daily quests which are needed to upgrade the lodge.
Players with Open Communication & No Drama: Dealing with people can be a real hassle so we are mainly looking for individuals who have a similar mindset. We look at things the way they are based on facts with the benefit of the guild over the individual interest. Someone who doesn't communicate when something bothers them or get emotionally triggered when certain rational decisions are made is not what we are looking for.
- Players That Contribute: Our guild has no fixed numbers of what is expected to contribute like most other guilds (I guess). Instead, everyone is expected to contribute in the way they can to help the guild which comes in different ways.
1. DEC Contributions to Buildings. So far a massive amount of over 2 Million DEC has been burned into the buildings to get them to a higher level already. Most of this (1.6M) was done by @stimp1024 who created the guild but regular contributions from players in the guild certainly help even though they are not mandatory if enough contributions are done in other ways. There certainly is also a place for whales who are interested in the 8% Shop Discount if they put part of that discount DEC contributions to the buildings.
2. Completing Daily Quests. This is a vital way for the smaller members to contribute as daily quests count toward upgrading the lodge each season and having grinders who complete the quest each and every day are important to the guild.
3. Being Competitive in Brawls. We currently have 16 available spots in the Brawls for 27 guild members so only the ones that are most competitive get to play. Everyone who is able to crush a certain brawl because they have both the collection and skill both contribute to the guild with the result and also get to earn merits with it as extra earnings for being part of the guild. This very much depends on the collection and right now someone with a pretty complete Untamed Collection (Including the legendary summoners who are needed to do well), or a general gold foil card collection could help us out to still improve on the brawl results.
4. Management Tasks. Right now, I am keeping track of the brawl results trying to optimize or results and have everything filled and played as it should. Looking for potential new members also is something that helps the guild. Anyone willing to put up some engagement with tasks like this helps us out.
