Splinterlands | Splintermate Automated Play (Step-By-Step Guide)

avatar

The daily time requirement in order to get most out of Splinterlands continues to be off the chart which pretty much forces players to use a bot. After Archmage introduced ridiculously high 33% fees, I now switched to Splintermate.com who charge a very affordable flat 1$ fee each month to use their service.

Archmage Way Too Expensive

Archmage hosted splex.gg was a nice entry into automating my play but turned into a small loss on the monetary side with their model of having to buy their token to get access which due to limited supply at the time and bots scooping it up was trading at a premium price of 100$+. They introduced fees which were just greedy high and many players including myself just ended turning off the bot. After playing a bit manually this past month, I now moved over to Splinteramate.

That being said, I still use splex.gg for automating part of my rentals which works great with a very fair pricing model and payment system.

Splintermate Initial Experience

Unline Archmage, you don't need to first buy a token and manually get whitelisted by joining their discord and sending a message. Instead, you just log into the Splintermate.com with Hive Keychain and you are ready to go pretty much. I instantly made a 1$ payment which can be paid with different Hive & Splinterlands assets (Hive / HBD / SPS / DEC) and I had the bot set up and operational literally within a minute.

My main fear was that the quality of the bot and the win-rate would suck but this turned out to be not justified as results just feel very similar to Archmage at first sight. I have exclusively been playing Wild for a while now which got my Modern Ranking to Bronze. So I turned to bot on to climb there in rank the past days.

After exactly 81 Battles exclusively played by the bot, it showed a 67W-14L record with a win Max streak of 24. This got me from Bronze to Gold 2 by now keeping my capture rate above 70%. As I'm climbing the rankings, the win rate inevitably will start to come down but I'm quite positive that the bot is solid enough that playing manually or running the much more expensive archmage doesn't make anywhere near enough of a difference.

Splintermate Step-By-Step Guide

The entire process on a basic level just to get the bot playing for you is so easy that it doesn't really need a step-by-step Guide

1 Register New Account

2 Pay 1$ Fee for 10000 Splintermate credits which allows you to use the servce for 30 days at a cost of 333 credits that are subtracted daily.

3 Add your account and enter your private posting key.

Similar to archmage, you need to provide your private posting key so the bot can enter your battles for you. While this doesn't allow it to take funds from your account, it can perform actions like making posts or doing upvotes. I go about this being fine that the Private Posting key somehow leaks and that I will have to change it at some point in time using my owner key which I am keeping offline at all times.

4 Enter your desired Settings for the bot.

You get there by pressing the 3 dots after having your account selected and press edit selected accounts.

The setting are really straightforward and easy to change and save.

5 That's It!

Conclusion

So far, I have nothing than good things to say about Splintermate.com which actually has a very acceptable pricing plan unlike Archmage. The first sign of the win-rate it is able to produce also is very promising. With the time daily required to play Splinterlands, it's pretty much mandatory for players to get some kind of help from a bot which likely over time will have 95% of all battles just be bots vs bots.

Thanks for the writeup on splintermates. That is a very nice win rate getting up to gold 2. What level do you consider your deck to be? Silver, Gold, Diamond?
I run a mid Silver deck manually and get into Gold each season.

I have level 5 Summoners. Overall my experience with using bots is that it doesn't make that much of a difference if you play manually or let them play. At times when watching some of the battles, I feel I could have come up with better options, other times the bot comes up with really effective decks.

Most importantly for me it the time it saves no longer being stuck each day having to play for an hour but instead being able to play when I really feel like it.

I have never played with a bot, but after this season, it is on the top of my list to consider. The time requirement is too much to play. Thanks for sharing and the useful information. I would like to see your rate of return after the season. Is the bot profitable?

Once you have it set up, you will wonder how you managed without it. The time requirement for 99% of players simply is too much. Splintermate only costs 1$ a month to use so it's only a very small part of the rewards that come from the rewards the game is providing in Gold and I guess in Silver also.

Good Luck!

That sounds like a good product to bring some automation to some stale accounts. I might try it out with one of my alts.

The 1$ monthly fee makes Splintermate have a really low entry level to try out.

It's going to be interesting to see what the future brings. I guess as long as the time requirements remain this extreme, bots like this need to be a thing and will likely get to a point where the vast majority of matches will be played by them.

One more question, do you recommend the settings that you show on your screenshots? Or are you playing with any different settings?

I honestly haven't bothered to really check or dig into the settings. By default, they should be set well enough. I tend to not let the capture rate go lower than 70%

!1UP Very interesting review, Costanza. Bots are a reality on Splinterlands, and it's great to see people sharing their experiences regarding profitability using them.
