How do you interpret other people's point in a discussion? This is a very good question that needs special deliberation.

In my years of content creation, I've discovered that most people comment on people's post or write-ups on either Web 2 and Web 3 ecosystems, they tend to overlook the context from which the writer is coming from and at some point they vividly say that the writer's perspective is wrong in it's entirety.

Based on the above, they tend to be doing the wrong thing feeling to be right. I think the first thing to do when you want to comment on a person's post, you need to appreciate the writer's point and then make your own point(s).

To me everyone is entitled to his or her opinion in every subject matter. Whether they're right or wrong it should be respected. Opinions differs so is reasoning.

Everyone is wired differently and their level of articulating and interpreting a topic differs also.

How to interpret other people's views?

  • the first thing you need to do is to listen and read carefully to understand what and where the writer is heading to.
  • in case of criticism, you must be constructive in criticizing someone's write and it'll be very interesting to proffer solution and not to further confuse the author.
  • learn from other peoples work no matter how poor the work or post looks like.
  • respect their views and perspectives.
