OCD Sportstalk Incubation Curation Update

Hello and welcome to another OCD incubation curation update where we look how the tribe is progressing. This is all about growth and quality through posting and engaging with others in the community. Lets first take a look at the figures and double check we are heading in the right direction. Remember last week we were on 2955 subscribers and hoping to smash through the 3000 barrier.

Nothing to worry about as we hit 3043 which is an additional 88 new members this week. Everything is up this week which is a huge positive for the tribe. Looking at the other tribes the gains are similar so Hive is definitely onboarding new users with new users joining the various tribes. This is definitely noticeable now as a tribe which is a serious positive.

I mentioned I would rummage back to when OCD included Sportstalk in the curation program way back in September 2020. The figures were not great as we had 717 members in total and have grown by over 400% in roughly 18 months. Everyone deserves a pat on the back especially @ocd as this has been a community driven effort.

This week we had 15 posts submitted for extra curation excluding what is forwarded tonight so we are closing in on our targets. 30 per week would be great as that means the members of the sportstalk community are growing their stake which is what is important for the future. The bigger we all become means we can support so many others who are yet to join or who are still new.

Still we see many members who are posting regularly hoping for some luck even though they don't comment at all within the community. Imagine only engaging with others who come and comment on your post, but never reciprocate. Many don't even reply to comments as they never read them so they are what I would call solo users and will get nowhere. Hive is a social platform so socializing is how you grow support and without this key ingredient you will slowly suffocate.

With so many new users around there will be accounts requiring Resource Credits to stay active on the blockchain. If you know or see anyone please highlight them in the comments so we can get some Hive delegated to them along with some Sports Tokens. This just helps make the Hive experience that much easier and more enjoyable having support behind you. Obviously accounts that are powering up earnings wanting to grow is a standard requirement for support.

A great set of results over the last two weeks and more of the same please as this is what Sports needs in order to climb the tribe rankings. Engagement is what attracts other users as an active tribe is a healthy tribe.

I would like to give a big thank you to the team and community of @ocd for their support. If you have some spare Hive and are looking to delegate they also offer a daily payout for the delegation received. Until next week have a great one and 4000 members is definitely now in play for June.

Well said, @cryptoandcoffee has been very instrumental in the growth process of this community. One of these days, I will talk about him in volumes. That is, the little I have known about him. Sometimes, it takes one person to effect change.

Engagement is everything with Hive and I do my best not to only respond to all my comments but to find posts that I can contribute to because I have to admit,I don't know much about cricket, rugby and some others. We appreciate all you do for us and we have to grow the community too that's why our engagement is important.

Thank you for your motivation and thank you to ocd. 🤗

As a new user here - big thanks to you and also @ocd for votes and engagement. Like @gingerup comments - many of the sports discussed here are beyond my knowledge but great to see a growing userbase.

3000 members is seriously good going, proud to be one of them.

Hive is a social platform so socializing is how you grow support and without this key ingredient you will slowly suffocate.

So very true, it still astounds me that some people still don't get this essential component and probably wonder why their posts don't get the support.

Socializing and engaging comes with many benefits aside from the rewards a person can get. It makes you enjoy a particular community and Hive blog at large. The sense of having friends makes a person's journey on Hive more exciting.

Sometimes, you can even draw posts inspiration by reading other people's work. In my case, digesting one of your past posts gave me a post idea in turn. Win-win

Indeed, the OCD team has played a major role in this progress. Equally, the active members deserve that pat on the back too.

In the end, it's more reward when we engage. Aside from the rewards, you get to learn, relearn and unlearn certain things in the course of interacting. The sooner people understand this, the better for them and the community at large.
