OCD Sportstalk Incubation Curation Update

Hello and welcome to another update regarding the OCD Sportstalk Incubation Curation program as we take a look back at this weeks figures. This is all about growing the tribe through rewarding users who are posting quality work and are busy within the tribe. @ocd is all about community as that is where their Hive delegation comes from. Last week we had 3043 subscribers in Sportstalk and have been growing very well with two weeks in a row of decent sign ups.

This week we managed to add another 42 new members to the sports tribe which is still good considering Hive drop in price etc. Price does play a major part for some reason even though it makes no difference to everyone who is already here. Active users is also down which has to be price related as well even though you earn more Hive on your posts when Hive is worth less. These are the times to grow and take advantage getting noticed by staying active.

I know the users in the sports tribe are super competitive and it is not the taking part that wins trophies which brings me on to where we are sitting currently against the other tribes. Thankfully we are still in 10th sandwiched between Alien Art and Motherhood.

OCD Communities Incubation Program - Update #61

These figures are from 3 days ago and just gives us an idea why we need to stay busy and attract as many new users as possible. All the Hive tribes have been growing at a faster than normal pace which is all positive and Sports somehow needs to get their fair share of what is going on.

This week 18 posts were submitted for extra curation and what is also great to see is the number of new names appearing in the tribe. Gaining new users is one thing ,but actually gaining users who are active is the ultimate and this shows how healthy the tribe really is. This is al about having fun which is great as so many different sports are now appearing through the Sportstalk feed.

Over the last week posts with images not sourced correctly is still creating problems. Football is one sport that there are very few legitimate images one can use as Getty owns a majority of the rights to them. They make money selling those photographs on and because we earn rewards are not allowed to touch them. This is very simple so please take time checking what you are using is not in violation of Getty. Always provide a source so it can be checked quickly even though I normally right click and search as Getty is more complicated.

This year we have had #sportinglegends and #sportingtrends as our set topics and would like to add another one. #sportingrules is an opportunity to explain a sport you follow so a simpleton can understand the rules and can thus enjoy watching the game. I have had a few users over the last month or two have no clue about rugby and maybe I will try and simplify it for them. Easy topic and expect plenty of football posts now explaining the offside line. What have I done lol as this could drive me bonkers. @talesfrmthecrypt will explain cricket and good luck with that lol as that is not an easy challenge.
