OCD Sportstalk Incubation Curation Update
Hello everyone and welcome to another update of the Sportstalk incubation curation supported by OCD community. Asa tribe we have noticed the impact of receiving extra support as it has been very noticeable in the overall tribes growth. This is what support does and without further ado lets take a look at last weeks figures.
Similar figures to the week before last as we only grew by another 20 subscribers which is rather disappointing. Active users are up and interactions are slightly down so this is more of a mixed bag. Hive is under $0.50 so I am sure that has something to do with this even though that makes no sense. We all know the you earn more when there is cheaper Hive yet users disappear and do less.
This week only 12 posts were submitted for extra curation which is a little disappointing. The target of 35 is still way off and I can only curate what comes through the feed. There is a limit to how many posts get curated each week per user so if you receive extra curation posting in another tribe and are already maxed out there is nothing I can do.
Unfortunately the Sports tribe is inundated with low quality match reports that honestly don't deserve more. What we have to understand is the vote value has to reflect the quality of the post and many need to raise their game. We cannot go backwards when it comes to quality and as a tribe we have moved on.
Every week Getty somehow appears and this is aimed at the football posts as Getty literally controls the football media photographs. Getty have even invested and bought up the old archives so there is very little left over for any of us to use. This takes me hours of double checking each week so all I ask is you do the same when sourcing images.
Football in Europe is coming to an end soon so if you are going to post please make sure it is original content and not reworked news stories. These posts are more like spam as they offer nothing of value with no personal input yet we still see so many of them each week. I cannot highlight originality enough as this is what gets rewarded at the end of the day and many need to look at themselves as to why they are missing out.

Thank you for the reports, I think it is important to get some feedback on where the tribe is going. Do you have any advice how to check for getty pictures? Is there a process to follow?
Right click on the image and look for the source. Painful as time consuming with no short cuts.
Well, hopefully, with this report, people will actually do better with the article they put out on the platform. In addition to the hive price below fifty-cent, the value of sports tokens has also discouraged and demoralised the authors in the communities. in all, thanks for the update and God bless

Sports token is only secondary and should not discourage anyone from being active.
You not replying comments in the past couple of days must have kept some inactive too.
This week we have had loads of power cuts and will still get around to them. I am on here every day no matter what.
You said you needed help and I had volunteered on two different occasions only for me not to see your replies.
If you were more active then it would be an easy decision but for now I need to keep looking.
Okay then.
Well, some people invested heavily in the sports token, and some people only sure way of earning is through the sports token as they have made peace with not earning the hive token itself.
I feel consistency is easier to say than to actually do. for me, i wrote my first sport article this year just yesterday.
Those people will earn Hive if they post quality articles. I am looking for decent stuff to up vote and earning Hive couldn't be any easier. The problem is they are all spinning articles we find in the sports media and nothing is original.
Okay. Then it relies on authors to do better. We authors have to step up then. Also, I think maybe giving a weekly theme topic for authors to write on might give them an insight on what curators expect. just saying.
The problem is the users we would like to see change never read posts.
Lol. i just started developing this reading habits too as i have seen what reading a post can actually do.
Thanks for the support given and congratulations to those who got their posts curated. I believe this is the time to post and engage more rather than going under the radar. The price is disappointing but it's general. Time to get to work. Well done sir.
It's our collective responsibility to do better and I believe we will all do better. Quality is everything and trying to be different is the goal. Thank you and we try again this week but better.
