Sportstalk Curation Showcase

It is time for another round of the Sportstalk Curation Showcase which is all about showing off the best sporting articles of the last week. All these posts are currently live meaning they all fall in the 7 day window for curation at the time of posting this showcase.

Firstly I would just like to say please we do need more quality posts to curate and we are hunting for new authors all the time. Unfortunately we have noticed that many members of the sports tribe do quality posts, but have no engagement which rules them out for any added curation. Please get more involved as it is costing you $$$ and an opportunity missed. I honestly can't believe I am having to keep on highlighting this as engagement is how everyone grows and is the first thing you learn on Hive.

The life and times of a dejected Arsenal fan ⚽️

This week we have our sports mad Irishmen @ablaze back again with a post about his beloved Arsenal lol. A shambles is an understatement and just goes to show how ungrateful the supporters were when Wenger was in charge.

He had no budget compared to many other cubs but churned out Champions League qualification season after season. The French connection is what made the team as Wenger being French had access to French players other managers in the Premier League couldn't. We see this with most managers as they tend to choose their countrymen and make up a mini Spanish team for example like Benitez whilst he was at Liverpool.

It must be hard knowing the club had it so good for so long and this is a tough lesson to learn that the grass is not always greener on the other side. The club has gone through a bunch of coaches since Wenger left and not one has had success. Artetta the latest to take on the poison chalice possibly won't last very long as he needs a miracle right now. Another good post highlighting the obvious dramas that are unfolding at The Emirates Stadium. Can they stay up this season as spending money is what needs to happen as they have little to no quality players.

Disappointing United.

So sorry this is another football post but had to include it as it was another failure for Manchester United lol. @olawalium obviously supports them and was disappointed with the draw against Southampton. This has been United's bogey team for many years and I think the majority of us always tune in to watch them slip up. A team full of potential but never live up to what they could achieve. Possibly another difficult season lies ahead and who knows if they will make top 4 after seeing the other teams in action.

India vs England Cricket Test Series - Third Test At Leeds - India Will Be A Confident Starter

I had to find something that was not football related and thankfully @coolguy123 posted a cricket post today discussing India's chances of whipping England. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and it looks as though India have already lost this Test match on day one with 4 more days to play. Who knows and it all depends on how big a lead England can muster tomorrow. Weather also normally plays a part this time of the year so expect some time lost somewhere. A decent post however and being a cricket lover enjoy his enthusiasm for his team.

Please everyone we need more posts and this week we have been a bit thin on the ground with many not qualifying. I will spend more time commenting on posts this week explaining where you are going wrong as how can you change if you don't think you are doing anything wrong. This is all about making the sports tribe stronger and better as somehow over the last few weeks things have gone rather quiet. Support each other through engagement and grow is how it should be done and this is seriously important to understand. For many of us this is so obvious and cannot tell you it is the life blood of Hive.

Until next week stay busy and keep posting (plus comments) and let us have a bumper showcase in 7 days time.

Thanks for the highlight of that Cricket related post from me.

Nice to see more stress on engagement and it shouldn't have come to this point as Sports Talk Social is full of enthusiastic bloggers, but, somehow the engagement and quality has been lost over last few weeks.

All I can say is, let's re-group and get back to those days where we had enough to curate and have more happy faces :)

Good one.
