Sportstalk Curation Showcase

Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of the sportstalk show case where we try and promote the tribe to the rest of Hive showing what we have on offer. The idea is to highlight the authors as many people don't have the time to read everyone's posts and maybe they will pick up some follows. I am constantly on the lookout for new users whoa are active within the community. The posts are all live all falling well inside the 7 day curation window.

8 FOOTBALL SKILLS AND THE PLAYERS THAT BROUGHT THEM TO PLAY.

Happy to find someone new to add to the curation showcase and this week @milezofplay stood out with a great post. Footballers when they retire seem to just fade away unless they were known for a particular move they "invented" or a move they were known to use regularly. I must admit I only know a few players on this list and had no idea they had specific moves that they had bought to the game. What I enjoyed about the post was the difference as it is another angle on football where we cam learn something new and not just another match report.

HOWZAT?! The National Sport of the United States!

@nathen007 wrote an interesting article about the sport of cricket and how popular it used to be in America. How quickly things change as this is no longer the case. Maybe in the next 20 years it may make a revival but I am not holding my breath on this one as the other sports like baseball and basketball are just that big. The British were around back then in the States and not surprisingly introduced the sport of cricket wherever they went. One only has to look at India to see the British influence as it remains their number one sport till this day.

Results of Last Man Standing Week 2

@blanchy has returned with his Last Man Standing competition and I urge anyone to get involved as who doesn't like to win 50 HBI. Last season we were having 40 or 50 entries per round and this is a fun tournament for everyone to become active within the community. The sports community has a huge football following so this should be something everyone should be jumping in on.

Getting back onto the golf course again.

We have 3 Irishmen on sportstalk and the one thing they all have in common is they love the game of golf. I think what drew me to this post was the photograph and just thought you lucky buggers. These are definitely the days you remember and enjoy the most as nothing beats a round of golf with some buddies. In the UK with the late evenings it is the perfect sport to play after work and can recall playing every Wednesday after 5 during the summer months.

Zion Williamson is getting too big for basketball

@sports.guy55 says things that everyone else is most likely thinking and this is a prime case of just that. How many times have we all watched a sport and thought somehting similar? Either they are too fat or have limited skills or they need to retire and just wished people would be honest with them. This basketball player is obviously earning a whack having a decent contract yet it is all at risk. Sometimes people need tough love and someone needs to pull him a side and have a heart to heart before this ends in tears.

This was another great week for the showcase as there were so many posts to select from which is a healthy sign. One thing in common with all of these posts is they have original content and cannot emphasize this enough. Glad to see so many new users around the tribe and will be looking out to promote your posts over the coming weeks and months.

I read the last article yesterday (or so). I hope Williamson doesn't let his own indiscipline be a stumbling block to his potentially great career

Thanks for your non-stop work in the Sports community. Cool articles on here but my favorite is the first Skills post by Milezofplay, may be because I'm a football addict.
