Sportstalk Curation Showcase
Hello and welcome to another edition of the Sportstalk show case where the posts that caught my eye during the week get highlighted. It could be the topic or the way it was written but they all have one thing in common and that is originality. One thing in common is each of these individuals have a passion for sport which shows in how they write. All of these posts are live which means they all fall in the 7 day window of curation. A follow would be appreciated if you enjoy any of the posts as finding new authors to follow on the various Hive tribes is what we all do. Sportstalk is growing with varied content suiting everyone's tastes and this post highlights this.

@talesfrmthecrypt has started somehting new which I appreciate as this is what gets the community involved. Hosting a sports quiz post is not the easiest post to maintain as this takes time and effort. Already plenty of thought has gone into the different ideas of how to ask sporting questions that are not straight forward. I spent a few hours on this myself as I couldn't resist. Engagement is the key to growing the sporting tribe and this is hopefully the start of a new trend. Look out for next Monday as this is good fun.

@edprivat offers a different type of challenge with his football keepieuppie game. We all know this from when we were kids and is harder than it looks. @ablaze killed it with a target of 74 so far and it would be great to see many more entries. The sports tribe is all about having fun and getting involved. There are prizes to be won so don't ever say that earning Hive is too hard if you don't even try to enter.
@mvl2304 took up the challenge of writing a post using the set topic being #legends this week/month. What I liked about is his approach a she asked his readers on his last post what #legend he should choose next giving a list of 3. A smart way to include your audience and grow your following. Oliver Kahn won the vote and was also the one I hoped would win as I know about Oliver Kahn ,but nothing else. A German national hero as he played for Bayern Munich and Germany for a large chunk of his career. Knowing how he made the breakthrough is always interesting to know as everyone follows a different path to the top. @mvl2304 always puts the time into researching his topics and his passion for sport shines through again in this post.
@cryptsimplify went all out with this one and was an epic read from start to finish. Sometimes these epic posts have to be super long as the subject matter justifies the story being told correctly. I have to be honest I had never heard of this Dirk Nowitzki before as I don't really follow much American sports. The advertising breaks/ time outs kill it for me and I lose interest. If you haven't read this post about a true #legend of the sport then please do. Also another opportunity to welcome @cryptosimplify back as he has been missed.
The Greatest One Club Players in Premier League History (Part 2)
@wolfgangsport has become without doubt one of the top contributors to the sporttalk tribe. This week there were a number of his posts that could have made the curation showcase and I chose this one. Being able to write about players who remain at one club throughout their careers is a rarity in itself. All of these players are true legends of their clubs and not somehting we see happen very often. Normally the players leave and possibly will return at some point but to remain for their entire career is not common. This also highlights how the boardroom of clubs have changed dramatically thinking these days more about selling than keeping a club icon. Thanks again to @wolfgangsport for what he brings each day.
This week we were seriously spoiled for choice and could easily have done another edition. The likes of @talesfrmthecrypt, @wolfgangsport and @edprivat had to make me select which post tonight. With the tribe growing as new users are being added daily I am looking forward to the day when we have two or 3 of these posts weekly. Not so long ago we were struggling for just one show case and look at us now.
A big thank you to everyone in the sportstalk tribe as we are all building something special here.

Wow. Am glad to be back to this community. I got discouraged when I see little comments on sports posts. Am glad the community is lively now and I will continue to give my quota towards the growth.
I will appreciate a run down of ongoing contests or schedules of posts in the community , and any other things I need to know, which will help in promoting engagement in the community.
Just keep an eye out as there are contests happening weekly now. latest topic is #sportingdisaster.

Does the promotion tool no longer work please? I just promoted my post with 15K Sports but in the promoted posts section, it says there aren't any!

Ahh I hadn't realized that this was happening @leedsunited & @cryptoandcoffee. I'll reach out to eonwarped to see if it is something that can be repaired or not. It might not be something that he'll take up since they aren't supporting the old front ends anymore. We might end up having to find another dev who could submit a request to have it fixed.

You nailed it! I promoted another post that's within the time frame and it's now showing under promoted as well. I'm kind of surprised we don't have any promoted content at the moment.

Quality and originality will always get rewarded so maybe look at what your posts are about. Haven't checked but change things up and try something new. Just checked and you got ocd on 2 posts in the last week which is decent as the max is 3.

This is my first time in this community and I am thrilled to have a community I can relate with apart from my usual poem writing. I've been familiarizing myself with engagements and I am excited to be here.
