Sportstalk Weekly Showcase

Welcome to another edition of the Sportstalk Show Case where we highlight some of the better posts from the previous week. The idea is to spread the good word of Sports around the Hive community letting everyone know what we are all about. A real mixed bag this week covering many different ideas and topics which is fantastic to see. These posts are all live meaning they fall within the 7 day window of curation at the time of this posting. A vote is not essential as a follow would be first prize.

Sunday Rock Climbing in Krabi, Thailand

@jobiker is back with a bang this week with an awesome post and some awesome photographs of stunning Krabi, Thailand. I am sure this is a typical Sunday morning thing for most of us climbing up a rock face lol. The sport of rock climbing will never feature on my bucket list as I am not into heights. Really great that we have someone of the caliber like @jobiker sharing his experiences with us as this is so different and interesting all rolled up into one.

Trying to get some fitness back.

I think most of us know exactly what @niallon11 is feeling trying to get back into a leaner, fitter, fighting machine lol. After months of couch surfing during the hibernating months fattening yourself up you now have to shock the body into moving again. This is why you always try and maintain some level of fitness as playing a football match is not going to end well. I do enjoy how @niallon11 mentioned doing exercise with people who could actually run. Maybe he should have been the goalkeeper foe the first match. An interesting read where the girlfriend gets blamed for the sudden fitness activities which is normally the other way around.

The Clock Is Ticking For Lampard.

@gingerup brings us an interesting post and his thoughts on Frank Lampard who now manages Everton. One can recall it was not that long ago he managed Chelsea and Derby even though he is still wet behind the ears. Having not played so long ago after hanging up his boots he most definitely has not done the time to learn how to be a manager. Chelsea were blocked from buying players because of breaking the FIFA Fair Play Rule so that move made sense as he knew the academy squad personally. This should have been a temporary role as he was doomed to fail just like he is at Everton. Ego's love to be fueled and like Solskjaer, Lampard should have done a Gerrard and spent some time learning what is required. There is no shame in turning a job offer down knowing you aren't ready as that would be the adult thing to do gaining respect. The clock is surely ticking for Lampard and Everton as he is about to end up on the scrap heap with career ending idiot moves if things don't change fast.

Promoting Hive to the wider cricket community

A different type of sports post this week from @talesfrmthecrypt as he highlights how he has been growing his blog outside of the Hive eco system. We know @talesfrmthecrypt for his tricky Monday Sports Quiz which has now become a monthly feature. I think he fried our brain cells and scared off the Irish and was a typical English trap that they fell into. This post is so true that it is possible to gain followers outside and lure them back to our community and this would be fantastic if he can pull this off. This is something we should all be trying to do and no not your brother or sister, but genuine outsiders. Read his post and check the numbers he has already got after one year of doing something he already loves doing.

Jogo Bonito: How Nike Helped us Appreciate Football Again (Part 2)

@wolfgangsport's posts are always interesting and entertaining and this one in particular I enjoyed. Not many people knew that Eric Cantona became a big wig at Nike Football and ran their academy for many years. I enjoyed the old adverts featuring Rooney and a very recognizable Ronaldinho with those teeth of his. He always reminded me about a story I heard of someone describing their ex girlfriend. He said she could suck a lemon through a tennis racket which is some picture in your head and basically means buck teeth. Fun post by @wolfgangsport and look out for him and give him a follow as you wont regret it.

Thank you to everyone in the sportstalk community as without you we have nothing. This tribe has some serious talent and everyone should be striving to be featured. Original content is what we are all about and want to read so don't be shy and give it a try go. We ain't that predictable lol. See you around the community and until next Wednesday stay busy.

Thank you sir for your support. I don't think Everton can escape this relegation anymore. They lost to Burnley again and I am sure the board are waiting to see his result against Manchester United before making a decision. Losing to Manchester United would make it harder for Everton.

Solid picks there!

I think it's only two articles I haven't engaged on the list.

Thank you for your help every time. Indeed, clock is ticking for Lampard and I don't know how he can navigate this. He has not taken time to develop himself well. This would be another massive dent on him if Everton goes down.

one year of doing something he already loves doing.

That's the key! Just write about what you know and love.
