Potential plan for creating a win-win situation to grow Hive user base

(Edited)

I have wrote about the importance of introducing Hive to potential new users on other social media platforms such as Twitter. Many would agree that is important.

The prime targets are actually those who are into crypto, aka those active in crypto-twitter. At the very least, they should be more cognizant of ideas like blockchain, crypto wallets, etc. Most importantly, they know how to buy some crypto, so getting some Hive is not going to be hard for them.

I also think that Hive should be a place where other crypto enthusiasts can come to discuss their projects while earning some Hive. Specifically, that would make LeoFinance even more vibrant.

Personally, I have taken the liberty to create a community for a project that I have a great interest in. It is the one on Nimiq, which can be accessed here.

Anyway, I have started to feature Hive on Twitter. I hope to get the attention of Nimiq folks there to come and earn some Hive by discussing Nimiq here.

Incidentally, the Nimiq Team is also seemingly looking to make inroads into Web3 socials.

You can be sure I responded. :)

Here comes the kicker!

I am now trying to demonstrate how I can in turn earn free NIMIQ after converting what I earn for posting about Nimiq in Hive for it.

Currently I am earning about 53 NIM equivalent from this recent post I made about Nimiq. That in itself is way more substantial than what they give out for playing their Nimtris game https://nimtris.com/, which I have covered in an earlier post.

I will be updating the Tweet as I progress, and would love to report that I have earned some crazy enough amount to buy more $NIM from this post: https://leofinance.io/@cryptothesis/update-on-nimiq-20.

Let's see how things turn out!

In any case, I learned something that I thought is useful to share.

I propose that the following can be the potential modus operandi for creating a win-win situation, i.e. for us to discuss/promote non-Hive projects on Hive, as well as draw in new users from other social media platforms.

  1. Create a community for the blockchain project you support, keep writing posts on it. Grow it.
  2. Promote it on Twitter. Engage with people on Twitter.
  3. Importantly, show how much you can make to purchase your favorite tokens simply by discussing it in Hive.

Of course, the last item requires support from fellow Hivers! :)

My earlier post which discusses the need to fend off new up-and-coming Web3 social platforms points to the fact that we need to do something to increase the likelihood of others knowing the beauty of Hive first, before considering other alternative new Web3 social platforms.

Hive already had a headstart, there is no reason why it cannot continue to be the number 1 Web3 social media platform if we have each other's support. Be it on Hive or on Twitter.

It's a win-win situation for both parties. We give them what they want they give us what we want.

What is your favorite crypto besides Hive?

I am new to blockchain as of 2022 and have always been a fan of bleeding/cutting edge tech. I have been participating in the fractally process with Dan Larimer, just joined Eden on EOS and recently became interested in the Algorand protocol and its allegations of being post-quantum secure. I don't know if I have a favorite crypto yet... I am still learning.

I think I heard about Nimiq a while back, didn’t really get into it. I’ll take a look now

Great strategy. WHo knows the community lead sometime may capture some interest here.

Nimiq brings back some old memories. I remember coming across the project a long time ago where I was new to cryptosphere. I am now the 3rd subscriber in the community you created. I'm not making any promises on how active I can be. It is still great to see a good project alive (although it has fallen far from its glory days).

I do not own any NIM at the moment. Still it makes me happy to see good projects succeed. There are too many ponzis and pathetic attempts at creating decentralized projects. We need to show at least a little support to the good ones.

Best of Luck With Nimiq Community!

It sounds interesting as a parallel project in the ecosystem.
I will take a look how NIM works.
Thanks for sharing!

It's a separate level 1 project.

I see it is more for gamers, isn't it?
I guess I am too slow for gamings. I entered at Splinterlands more than a month and still I did not begin to do anything. What about the coin, could I just buy and keep it?

Anyway thanks!
