By now if you play Rising Star you likely are aware of the upcoming changes to the "Starbits Millionaire" mission.

The first change involves progressively needing more fans each time you run the mission.

" The calculation is as follows:
1000 + (100 x number of Starbits Millionaire missions you have run).

So let's say you have run the mission 100 times then you would need 11,000 FANS to run the mission (1000 + (100 x 100))." source

This change I believe is positive and good for the game. This in essence forces people to buy some card packs or cards instead of just earning the Starbits and selling them. I read in the comments on a recent post that drunk fans count too and those you get randomly for free just for playing the game.

Buying cards is already a part of my strategy, so I don't expect this to have any impact on how I play.

The second change is optional and involves a 10% bonus if you hold X amount of Starpro which like the fans in change 1 increases after every run of the mission.

This change I am not so positive about. I have seen this happen in games before where players need to sell one token to gain another. One token always suffers (the one you need to sell to get the other one). Unless the player is already holding a ton they will need to buy Starpro with the bonus Starbits (presumably) everyday in order to continue earning . I don't think more Starbits inflation is what the game needs right now. This creates sell pressure for Starbits for those who wish to get the bonus.

To me this is counter-intuitive to the first change which encourages the use case for Starbits and discourages the selling of Starbits.

Luckily this is optional and since I don't particularly like this change I don't have to participate in earning the bonus. I just hope it doesn't kill Starbits price/ value because people are forced to sell them to get the bonus. Again this is just my opinion and I could be proven wrong.

I have complete faith in the Rising Star Team to make any adjustments to these changes if need be.

Overall I look forward to see how these changes impact things.

As always thanks for reading.

❤️🦄
