Low cost indexing brought equity ownership to the masses. BlackRock and Vanguard "own" the world on the back of their index products. Is indexing crypto, say the largest 50 by market cap plus a number of variations, a possible solutions to the volatility in this new (at least for the masses) asset class?

What can you say to those Hivers who feel like they're missing out on an opportunity when almost everybody is afraid? 😄

Interesting don't you think that everyone gets all hyped up told to put their extra funds into crypto which they do, just for there to be a sudden crash and decline for the next few weeks depending on how much money there is to bleed from the plebs.

I am not saying it is fact or conspiracy but we all know the difference is about 6 months generally these days. 🤣

This seems to happen in other markets too

Then the rest of us have to reassure people dips are not forever until it rises again.😎

The only people losing from dips are the people putting in more than they can afford to loose playing risky gambles anyway that they probably shouldn't.🙄

👀 Isn't this just what markets do anyway?

Up and Down isn't that just life? 🤣

Have the best day 😉

Not too long ago upvotes were giving us a good return, even if there wasn't that many of them. Now the upvoting could be healthy, but the return low. What is the one thing you would suggest someone on HIVE who hasn't experienced the downturn before, so they can stick it out? Personally, I just grind. So it's an observation and not a concern on my part.

Do you change your behavior based on bull or bear? I tend to just stay the course, doing what I do daily. I think in the long run that is better than trying to time things. The book "A Random Walk Down Wall Street" by Burton Malkiel tends to agree with that stategy.

Do you think people will trust algorithmic stablecoins again after UST disaster? What would makes HBD more trustworthy?

There is a lot of news about stablecoins and the impending regulation that will occur due to the LUNA stablecoin losing it's peg. Supposedly that stable coin had the programming in place to hold the peg but it did not hold. Then one of the founders(?) is bringing in a lot of capital to get the peg back in place. I am confused about stablecoins that are not stablecoins. What is the big difference between USDT and HBD? and why do we believe HBD will not act in the same manner when more users enter into the HBD market?

I was thinking lately that can hive platform can get it's own P2p? I have noticed that we would do good by directly exchanging hive and HBD for our local fiat if required. Do you think Hive should have binance p2p like service at some point?

After reading a lot about UST and LUNA what is really striking is that it's supposed to be decentralized, but what went wrong was all linked to centralized parts.

Allegedly the dump from the big players came from a deal the founder made with the big player who started the dump, a deal that at least looks centralized to me.

Then we have the funds that was supposed to rectify any deviation, which also looks like more centralization, even though stakeholders might have been able to vote on using them or not.

I am not sure if I got all those details right, but I think that the centralized parts broke it.

The only semi centralized part about HBD is the HBD Stabilizer, but what will really save HBD is it's decentralized relation to Hive, it does not mean it will not go down in value as we have just seen, the on chain conversion also cuts off at the haircut level which is another thing to mitigate an attack like the one on UST.

That is my take on it anyways, and please DYOR.

If you had a 401K or an IRA that you started with an employer and you had the chance to move it to one with crypto would you do that? Why or why not? I am just curious because I have seen ads for them on Brave. If I had one which I don't I am not sure that I would mess with it at this point in my life.

Hello maniacs!

What outcomes do you expect from the raise of the haircut limit from 10% to 30% on the next Hard Fork?
