Have we got a step closer to listing Hive on Stakecube?

I have received some feedback from Stakecube. It's not major development, but it is development indeed. They said that currently there's little chance of listing Hive due to technical difficulty and lack of resources. This is understandable. However, since there are some BEP-20 tokens already listed it would be far easier to list bHive or bHBD, wouldn't it? So I passed on some necessary details about tokens and who to contact about them. This might be even better because @khaleelkazi would not only provide Stakecube with exposure to the Hive ecosystem, but also might introduce their team to additional revenue streams. It would be ideal if they moved a portion of their internat communications from Discord and Telegram into Leo Threads and Hive in general. I see no downsides, I see little risk on Stakecube's behalf. The only risks are for tokens depositors - as always with CEXes...

There are at least 5 different ways of how Stakecube could earn a % on deposits. I really wish I had enough time to write about all of them.

https://docs.cubdefi.com/resources/contracts

This account is also growing steadily and earning curation rewards. All of its funds are to be used to top up a community faucet, on which Stakecube will earn commission (whether on trading or withdraw fees).

Since there are no technical difficulties to list BEP-20 bHive and/or bHBD, this what Stakecube has to do:

  1. Create a official Hive account/wallet (no costs),
  2. Publish announcements on Hive (no costs),
  3. List bHive and/or bHBD (minor costs),
  4. Create a community faucet for the listed token,
  5. Earn a commission on one of the ways built into Hive ecosystem, like (list far from complete) :
  • Staking HP and joining trail (to automatically following someone's voting; about 10% APR; Hive exchange rate risk),
  • Staking HP and leasing/delegating it to @leo.voter (earning 16 %APR paid in Leo; Hive and Leo exchange rate risks),
  • offering to stakecube users instant unstaking (unstaking/power down takes 13 weeks, you can offer instant unstaking for a profit),
  • bHBD pooling on cubdefi.com,
  • bHive pooling on cubdefi.com,
  • leasing HP,
  • leasing RC credits,
  1. Direct your community into Hive from discord or TelegrM for accelerating growth
  2. Offer leasing/setting up Hive nodes,
  3. Run Hive node yourself.

General News

Crypto Markets Update

We won’t go too much into the Crypto markets update this week, as there is still a lot of work to do on stabilizing the situation for StakeCube. Suffice it to say that after last week’s pump, Bitcoin price now seems to be stuck around the $23,000 level. Over the last few days there have been a few unsuccessful attempts to break out from here that were all rejected. Long positions have been accumulating while shorts were obliterated several times recently. This makes it likely that prices correct a bit from here.

StakeCube in Numbers

Seems like numbers are finally stabilizing, except for SCC price which still took another hit down to around 2 cents per coin.

  • User Count: 154,400 +0.09%
  • Pool Value: 36.12 BTC +1.45%
  • SCC Price: $0.020 -39.02%
  • SCC Market Cap: $238,242 -39.93%
  • Daily Exchange Volume $12,893
  • Daily SCP Transactions: 16 -11.11%
Top 5 Gainers

Although Bitcoin and most big market cap coins have remained stable, lots of other alts had huge growth this week. This is very common right after a quick pump like the one we had last week. Bitcoin usually leads the trend, with altcoins following later.

  1. AXS +27.6%
  2. SYS +25.8%
  3. SMART +21.4%
  4. STRAX +18.8%
  5. DGB +15.8%
Situation Update

This week we continued to do lots of work to restore services and to stabilize the situation so that we can move on from here. This is a summary of the most important actions we took this week:

  • Restarted NodeCube payments. We are also happy to see that many of you have decided to keep your nodes running, with some of you even installing additional ones. This will be a useful revenue stream for StakeCube.
  • All credits that were in “held” have been released now.
  • LATS listing. This was an agreement that Oleg had with the LATS team which we are simply fulfilling. However we have seen many LATS deposits and in general it looks like it will bring some activity.
  • Released 5.42836408 BTC back to our users. This was part of the funds still remaining on our wallets, which might be needed to pay for masternodes, etc. They can of course be withdrawn as well.
  • Started the process to replace all wallet.dat files. All wallets need to be moved to new ones that the new team will control. This will cause deposits addresses to change, so be careful when making deposits. In the future we will design a system for the wallets so that no single person can control them without knowledge from others, but we don’t have anything concrete yet.
  • Optimized server usage. As mentioned last week, it is imperative that we reduce server costs in order to keep running StakeCube. Our tech team has been busy at work identifying redundant server usages so that they may be eliminated.
Next Steps

In order to increase our revenue, we are currently looking at listing new coins, to increase the coin selection available in NodeCube. In the meantime, we will add a few more listed coins to NodeCube. Over the next week, we will add FIRO LATS and SMART to NodeCube. Both Hot Node and Cold Node options will be available.

We are also working on BotCube to be able to offer coin listings. If you are a project lead and are interested in getting your coin listed, feel free to contact us using our official support email: [email protected]

We are also working on two important things that will be needed in order to continue:

  • A recovery plan. Once we have a healthy revenue we will be able to start returning coins to the users. However, we are still planning how best to do this, and we’ll probably consult with the community before taking further steps.
  • A full balance report for all wallets. At this point, we cannot continue running StakeCube without offering this kind of transparency. We are preparing a report so that users can see exactly how many coins are in the wallets and compare those amounts to the database values we already offer. We expect this will be done by Sunday.
Downtime on the 23th

During our work with the databases, several processes caused an unanticipated overload. This cut the communication of the site with the database for a few hours. The website is now back to normal.

SCRIV Listing

We were going ahead with the listing of SCRIV, but we have been asked by their team to put the listing on hold. Once we know more, we will let you know.

Earn

We have re-enabled the Earn system, with the first rewards being paid out on Friday the 27th. There are two main differences with respect to how it was before. The first is, we added a 5% fee on all rewards, which will go to StakeCube so that we may pay operating costs and return funds to users. The other is, users that haven’t logged in during the last year will be flagged as inactive and will no longer be eligible for Earn rewards. Their rewards will instead go to StakeCube, which again will use them to pay for operating costs and to finance our refund efforts.

DASHD Collateral Change

DASHD Collateral increased to 30,000 DASHD. Hot Node users will need to destroy the old nodes and redeploy them with the higher collateral.

Friendly Collaborations

A few sites have offered to help us recover from the situation we are in at the moment. Two of them in particular made significant contributions: Coinminer and Faucetgamers.

Coinminerz added a donation feature on their mining pool, so that users can choose to donate a % of their mining rewards which will go directly to our donation addresses. This applies for all coins that StakeCube and Coinminerz have in common. Go check out their mining pool:

https://coinminerz.com/

Faucetgamers reached out to us and offered StakeCube a higher referral percentage for promoting his site. You can now help us by joining Faucetgamers with our referral link:

Earn and referral counter:

https://faucetgamers.com/stakecube

CoinExplorer

Projects are now welcome to join CoinExplorer’s Discord server and discuss a listing with us there. Go check it out!

https://discord.gg/ET3dVHqCR3

For those out of the loop, CoinExplorer is a multi-coin blockchain explorer that StakeCube acquired last year. With it, projects will have accessible a blockchain explorer to offer their users with all sorts of transaction details and an engaged tech team maintaining it. Learn more by visiting our site:

Piggy Bank Report proper part

Welcome to my stakecube piggybank report. My aim is WAS to collect enough funds to make stakecube list Hive on any of their markets (StakeCubeCoin or BTC). But since Hive does not pay for being listed, we are going to pay stakecube users directly via community faucet. We don't need to raise thousands of dollars to make it worthwhile. If we won't succeed by 31st May 2023 all the funds will be returned as stated in rules.

The rules under this account operates can be found here.

There's a slight correction - I mean all the posts will be published with 50/50 ratio and H-E tokens will be converted into HivePower.

How much did we raise? The best thing is that we can only go up from the start, in terms of Hive. Of course, in terms of dollars the raised funds may decrease, but since on Hive you can put your funds to use without entrusting them to anybody I hope I can beat the bear market. No interesting moves on H-E wallet. This week report isn't as great as previous ones, because we didn't get the rewards for the last report yet. I'm really excited that we can receive curation rewards - it ain't much, but it's honest work.

Let's head on to the numbers:

AssetQuantityValue in USDChange since last week
HP71.441 HIVE (+8.302 HIVE)XX
HBD8.237 (+0.966 HBD)XX
TOTALX36.03$+4.76$

TOTAL: 36.03$

We are already at the beginning, but if you take in mind that StakeCube's faucet claims give about 0.005 $ which means we have already gathered enough funds for 7 206 claims.

Why list Hive

If you're an outsider and wondering why would or should Stakecube be interested in listing Hive at all. Hive is the only working implementation of Web 3.0 in terms of both infrastructure and control - it has no central entity that can be served or banned. The Hive is a community of over 30k active users (currently) onboarding hundreds of users daily.
In order to properly asses Hive market one needs to sum up it's whole ecosystem of first layer (let alone second layer) and its diverse variations. To sum up - Hive has many avatars.

  1. Hive is undervalued and its marketcap is bigger than coingecko shows,
  2. It may bring you another stream of revenue (you might introduce staking, delegating and leasing options for your users),
  3. It may improve your income stream by publishing reports/announcements on Hive,
  4. Hive and its soft-peg stablecoin HBD have prooven to be working and safe during crises,
  5. Hive is actually used,
  6. Listing Hive is a forward escape from CEXes issues by sending the message 'Hey, we're sound enough to list new projects'
