Curator Cat Considers: When Setbacks Consistently Seem to Outweigh Progress

Greetings, Fabulous Felines and Hoomans of Hivelandia and surrounding communities!

I hope this Monday finds you happy and well... and ready to take on another week!

Ah, Those Setbacks...

I'll be the first to admit that it's not much fun to watch the Crypto Cookie Crumble... and it's not much fun to watch my tiny nest egg become worth less and less.

Can't even imagine what it must be like for those who have millions at stake.

But how do we evaluate setbacks?

And how do we evaluate a situation in which it seems like we always are taking three steeps backwards for every two steps forward?

At what point is simply our enthusiasm about something no longer enough to carry us forward?

You Are Not QUITTING... Are You?

No, no worries! I'm not ready to throw in the crypto towel... and I frankly wouldn't recommend anyone doing so.

Perhaps what I feel more included to do is revisit priorities and importance. One of the ways we can often navigate the challenges of repeated setbacks is to evaluate and potentially change our expectations about something we're involved with.

Weathering a string of disappointments can be a lot easier of we have less "emotional investment" in what we're doing.

For example, these days I am just going to "have fun blogging" and forget about the fact that our Hive tokens seems to dive for the basement, every time there is broader negative news in the cryptosphere. Seems like the bad news weighs more heavily on Hive than on other tokens... and then it is slower to recover than other tokens.

That's what I mean by setbacks seemingly outweighing progress.

Of course that's just one example; this is not just applicable to Hive... but to many aspects of whet we do in life that might turn sour.

And - as a cat — my advice would almost always be to worry less and nap more!

Thanks for visiting, and enjoy the rest of your week!

=^..^=

Love Cats? Get Involved in Hive's Cat Communties!

If you're a cat lover and often/sometimes post pictures or other content that includes your feline friends, why not become an active part of Hive's growing Cat Communities?

These are some of the more active Cat Communities — why not join them ALL? Remember, you can also "cross-post" your cat posts to them!

HiveCats by @curatorcat is a central "gathering place" for cat content on Hive; promoting the use of the #hivecats tag for feline content!

Cat Snaps by @manorvillemike is a place to post pictures of your cats when you don't have a whole lot to say beyond just sharing your cute photos!

Caturday Community by @saboin is a community where we get to celebrate posts relating to Saturday — aka "Caturday" — our own special day!

Cat Photos by @andrarchy is a "mixed use" cat content community; posts can be just photos or longer, as long as the subject is CATS! It has a lot of subscribers but is not very active.

Cats by @captainklaus (and Sissi!) is another "general" cat content community; it's there, but not very active.

Last, but certainly not least, a special shoutout to the Hive Pets Community which has become quite active and typically has quite a bit of cat content!

There are a number of other feline communities listed on Hive, but I am not sharing them for now as they have not had any activity (by their Admins OR users) since the Steem/Hive fork. Updates as they become available!
