Wine is a juice from fermentation of grape. It occurs as a result of yeast action on grape. Wine Consist you several components ranging from one chemical to another. I am going to pin point the major Composition of wine

Water

The major Component of wine is Water. Wine is made up of 80-86% of wine. Water serves as a regulator i.e it regulate the sugar and alcohol contents in wine.

Alcohol.

Another major Component of wine is alcohol.
The alcohol contents of wine depends on factors such as the rate at which fermentation occur. Sweet wine whose fermentation stop early thereby leaving unfermented sugar usually consist of 7% of alcohol by volume. Some wine can go as high as 15% by volum of alcohol. This is as a result of excess fermentation of sugar.

Glycerol

Glycerol is also presence in wine (1% by volume). It is one of the ends product of fermentation..It is actually responsible for the wine viscosity

Natural organic Acid.

Organic acid is present by 0.5% by volume and it consist of tartaric acid. The presence of this acid enable wine to stay for long period of time without spoilage.

Tannin and phenolic compound.

Anthocyanni, tannin and flava-3-ol are all present in wine.
