It wasn't too long ago that I took the daunting step into a new platform, a web 3.0 platform at that, Peakd.com. I was confused, annoyed, lost, alone, and for quite some time unwilling to believe I was ever to be a part of anything at

ALL

You see, up until this point I had made a few posts here and there. Shoot, I had even got some support to some degree from a few individuals. An invite into a discord server or two... but like a shoe that was too big or too small... nothing was fitting. I never felt that I was actually being heard or listened to. I mean, don't get me wrong, I APPRECIATED all the help I WAS getting... It just felt, hollow?

Until one day...

It was over two months ago today, that an individual by the name of @thebeardflex had reached out to me. He had mentioned something about this new Hive Project, https://hive.pizza/, and felt that I would appreciate the invite into their discord server (https://discord.gg/XK9NKpQN) and let me tell you...

BOY DID I

So much so, that I ended up shortly after delegating some HP of mine to their project.

So what was it? Why am I touting their name all over PeakD?! Why am I constantly voting 100% on every post they put out? Why am I now re-blogging every single thing I see @thebeardflex and @hive.pizza put out?!

I'll tell you why...

It's the team of extraordinary men and women that make up the pizza team and community. It's the constant want to help someone out, no matter how big or small. It's the constant solving of problems and issues that exist. It's the willingness to be dedicated. It's the constant comradery found amongst everyone to push each other to greatness. It's the brotherhood and friendships formed there.

You see... Hive.Pizza is not just another Hive Token. For me, they are the reason I set forth on my dream to become a streamer. It was something that I had always wanted to do and always thought about, but I never felt like I could actually do it. It seriously wasn't until I was fortunate enough to catch @thebeardflex making some dope @$$ space music on one of his streams. I saw a man, close to my age, busy as hell through-out his days, genuinely sharing his raw experience live. The enjoyment that we both had during that stream was something I'll never forget. He kept saying how it was nothing special and that he needed some other things set up to really be making music like he wanted to... I didn't care though. All I cared about was showing this man, who had shown me support on PeakD and helped answer some questions, some support on his stream. And it was that very moment that it hit me.

It wasn't about be perfect on the stream. Hell, he kept messing up and openly voicing it. It was about having FUN and doing what you LOVED and having people in there with you supporting you. I told him right then and there on his stream that I was going to give streaming a shot and try-out to become a streaming for Theta.TV.

The next few days I prepared vigorously for the tryouts theta was going to have, setting up my layouts and figuring out how everything worked. I even remember thinking... all this stuff is so much I don't think I'll ever make sense of it all. Between making different social media accounts, to understanding the programs I was going to be using and how they worked. IT WAS A LOT! But, I pressed on...

The day came for the Theta tryouts and @thebeardflex had messaged me on Discord to tell me something that, at the time, I didn't realize how much I would appreciate. He said,

"No matter the outcome of the tryouts, DON'T STOP! It's a rough place out there for new streamers sometimes. Just KEEP putting out content!"

Well, hindsight was 20/20 for him. Tryouts came and I did not make the cut. It was a hard blow to take. I kind of felt like, right then and there, quitting. But all I could constantly hear and remember were those very words he had spoken earlier that day.

Needless to say, I DID NOT QUIT. The community I was blessed into (HIVE.PIZZA) helped picked me back up and did everything that they could moving forward to show my streams and posts constant love and support. It seemed that every time I went Live, someone from pizza was coming in to support the stream. I STRONGLY believe that had it not been for @hive.pizza and @thebeardflex and @huzzah and @stickupboys and so many others in the community, I would have never even tried, let alone become an AFFILATE on twitch. So, for this, and MANY other reasons...

I THANK YOU
