I was wondering what would be the best way to create a solid email. I see now that I am definitely going to want to create a custom-styled image to go along with any links. I always enjoy creating the perfect thumbnail for every post. The main difference here is that I will also be able to add more text. This is exciting!

It sure is! There are people that send out only text, some with an image but custom made is defo an option that will be appreciated! It's quite fun though with Canva :)
PS I'm so happy you're excited, it kind of feels a bit like how I felt from the first moment as well as our team members, they were the same and jumped all in right away..
